You're all so uneducated. Watch the video and see if they're cheating their way to the top. stop getting so salty that they knocked more than 5 minutes of the current WR at the time.

It's good to see Blizzard caring about stuff that doesn't matter at all instead of working on something more important.
I don't think the ladder has been reset, it's fairly common to go on armory and have none of the region times show up.
I had the pleasure of running some CMs with Tlo a couple months ago and he and his CM team are incredibly creative with their strats and I would hope to not see anyone try and discredit their achievements.
On topic, the leaderboards for both Everbloom and Skyreach should have been reset when the instances were hotfixed months ago.
In the past month, I've lost all my realm fastest titles except for those for 'Scion of Rhukmar' and 'the Violet Guardian', to more committed CM teams, only because the times I set ages ago are unbeatable with the now default instance geography. Which I think is a shame, because those who are attempting to be competitive should be rewarded for doing so, but can't for reasons out of their control until now.
An opinion I expressed when those instances were first patched was that WoD CMs should be treated the same as MoP CMs were. Any class, mechanic or instance changes that severely impact the competitive nature of CMs should not be included in the CM version of the dungeons. Either that or have the leaderboards reset the same day the changes are made.
I understand what you mean, but on my realm (Barthilas), all the top CM times throughout MoP were held by a prot warrior. While Brewmasters were extremely powerful in CMs, it didn't mean that those who could play their class/ spec effectively couldn't remain competitive, at least at a realm level. Vengeance was more the issue with MoP CMs, BMs just had the best tools to cheese it.
A season type system would alleviate some issues with the current state of CMs, but it would have to be made more compelling besides adjustments to class balancing for those who were just in it for FoS to set their times again every few months.
Not unbeatable at all. You must not have ran the "new" versions of those CMs. You have the potential to GAIN time with the "new" Everbloom shortcuts actually. The one where you do the annoying jump is faster, but annoying and you have to reset a lot if you go for times and not just gold unless nobody ever screws it up. The jump after the first boss is now just below the tree roots as you leave the boss room. No lost time there really, if any we are talking less than one second.
For Skyreach it's a bit annoying, but roar+pack and invis does the trick. I'm sure it'd be possible to use a Rogue for Skyreach and use mass stealth as well.
For the invis, you can pop invis potion, reset, have a Mage start it so he can use greater invis and then go as normal with pack. Doable with only pulling the one pack at the end as normal. 15ish seconds lost compared to the old strat, but RNG can easily make 15seconds. This way you keep your DPS pots as well compared to not reset/invising. Hunter burst went way up on bosses with 6.1 and 40sec Stampede as well. Don't leave that out.
Class changes factor in far more than the dungeon layout changes did.
Anyway, my opionion is that CMs should reset each patch and not include mid-patch changes to CMs until the next patch hits. What's the point of a ladder system if it only resets when it retires? Reset it between patches to keep participation up and possibly get more people into it. Fix either banned peoples times being on there or bugged leaderboard (when you can't see character info when hovering a name or click the name). Only include times eligible for the titles in the in-game leaderboards or at least show that time as well as cross-server time.
What you've said is very true and I am aware of the new strats (I've pulled them off myself for sales). My only issue is that they're not necessarily competing against my times anymore, as they are competing with the instance as well.
It's just my preference that CM teams should race on the same 'track' and not have to jump through hoops/ rely a lot heavier on RNG than those who happened to set their times before an unforeseen change.
I still hold hope for CMs to be expanded upon in the future, but WoD won't be the time for that.
I can imagine CM 'events' similar to the Timewalker dungeons where there's an incentive for a larger audience to participate in setting times for a specific dungeon or two in a relatively short period of time, with rewards attached to that aside from the usual gold xmog items.

This was the previous world (and US) record time. As you can see, there's no exploit here. They simply saw that Dragon's Breath was op as shit and used it to their advantage. It's no different than the Scarlet Monastery thing with the warrior and rogue spamming throw that had a world record for a while. Definitely more of a "creative use of game mechanics" thing.
Hoping Blizzard didn't just arbitrarily decide that that wasn't a valid run, because their lack of care when 6.1 hit for Skyreach and Everbloom (though you can still get past both of those dungeons' walls fairly easily) on top of them just removing times from the leaderboard for shits doesn't bode well for how they'll treat future CM times in terms of consistency.
Hope the time gets reinstated for Tlo's team, it was a crazy strategy and pretty fun to watch.
For those of you that claim we cheated or did it prior to fixes with the jumps, I can guarantee you that's not the case. If you watched our video, you'd notice we didn't cheat at all (unless you count the jumps as cheating. but everyone does it, so meh). Or decide for yourself: youtube.com/watch?v=vzsfrd51iT0
Our time was reverted to a 12:26 run we did with dk/dk/dk/hunter/druid even though we had an 11:30ish which we used the same comp and was done in the same patch as the 12:26 version. The dk/dk/dk/dk/druid comp was also done in the same patch. I assume someone has cried pretty hard to get this removed. Or maybe they're planning on hotfixing (or already have hotfixed) the dragon's breath dark sim. If that's the case, almost everything should be reset, because there's something to dark sim in almost every instance.
If breath hasn't been hotfixed, we'll go in there and get the same, if not a better time than the 8:59 run.
Also, yes I'm salty about it.
"Everyone does it" so its fine? So like if someone in baseball sets a home run record on steroids, but "Everyone at the top does it" does that mean its also fine?
You're a towel.

Still says our best is 8:59. But realm best is 12:26. No, I haven't transferred servers.

If everyone in baseball was on steroids, then I'd say it wouldn't be "cheating". From what I've seen, everyone with a top US/EU/World time has used the jump.
Or was that a rhetorical question?
