Looking gooooooooooood imo. Really love the Daniel Craig Bond. Waltz is kinda awesome, though I hope he doesn't play too Tarantino style. Ralph is a God, Naomie Harris is quite good. It has fricking Monica Bellucci in it for crying out loud.

But apart from all the great actors, and I'm really looking forward how Bautista will perform, I just really like the darker more real James Bond. Yeah the lame humor and tons of hilarious gadgets had it's own charm, but I much prefer this. Seems to get a real personal story again like in Skyfall. I loved Javier Bardem as villain though, but I'm really hyped for this again.

I hope we get enough of Ralph Fiennes and that Waltz fits in.

The Trailer has all the right things for a Bond Film, I might actually go to the cinema to see this one , the last bond film I saw in the cinema was Never Say Never again, when I was.... er a lot younger!

Christoph Waltz is such a good actor. I can't wait to see this movie. Daniel Craig really grew on me as a Bond.

looks really good. im gonna be a sad panda when craig is done as bond. although people gave negative feedback to idris elba being the new bond because hes black, hes a great actor and i feel he could pull it off.

I agree, I could see Elba actually making the role his own and pulling it off quite nicely, still, I'll be sad when craig wraps it up.

I dunno... It looks good, great almost...

And I LOVE Monica Bellucci and Christopher Waltz, Andrew Scott is always great, plus we've got Bautista, who really won me over in GoTG...

I just can't help but remember how disappointed I was in both Quantum of Solace AND Skyfall, I don't see how this is going to be any different.

How can you be disappointed in Skyfall? Such a great movie AND Bond movie.

Skyfall was fantastic. It was one of the best Bond movies hands down. Right up there with Goldfinder.

I liked Skyfall but can see why others wouldn’t.

It kind of baffles me that one of the themes is sometimes the old ways are better and yet bond is ultimately failing in a lot of what he does in the movie, even failing to protect M.

Another theme is even in this technology ruled world sometimes you just need a man with a gun.

"I am the author of all your pain" what a line!

But ultimately he didn't accomplish much. M died, the girl from the casino he got killed, he killed the assassin without getting him to talk, capturing Silva turned out to be part of his (convoluted) plan. All he really accomplished was killing the bad guy in the end when he was about to kill himself with M anyway.

I really liked the movie don't get me wrong but his fsilures kind of clashed with that theme. I thought the movie was very good but a tad short of truly great.

Well those types of conflicts are needed. And daniel craigs James bond is a more dark, slightly off the rails James bond. He seems pretty keen on doing his own thing and was keeping his 00 job because of his history and loyalty to M. And these films are a lot more raw and physical instead of previous James Bonds that are unstoppable with a pistol and always have perfect hair. I think the new approach made for the best James bond films to date with Casino Royale / Skyfall.

I like the tone too it just felt like the movie was trying to tell me one thing but showing me something else when it csme to that theme.

But this thread is about Specter, guess I've been derailing it. I'll probably see it and stat wars this year and that's it until kung fu panda 3 in january.

I hear what you're saying. And its a valid problem. How you stay relevant in a changing world. But I don't think its fully implied that the old ways are necessarily better. More that James is an old dog that doesn't learn new tricks. He would rather sleep with a foreign lady and use his 9mm than take out a warlord with a laptop drone.
