This is the first xpac since vanillia that I completely abandoned all forms of PvP. The thought of doing even 1 arena match makes me want to vomit. This is coming from a 10 year WoW vet, three time gladiator and avid BGer. In all pervious xpacs I loved PvP, I would spam arena for hours on end and if no teammates were around I would spam random BG's just for fun. In WoD you couldn't pay me to do this.
After a few weeks of BGs/Arena at the start of WoD the decision to abandon PvP was very clear. Can't put my finger on exactly what made me feel this way but the feeling is overwhelming. Not sure what they can do to fix it, feels like they need to completely overhaul the entire PvP system. It's so bland and homogenized, item level scaling / ability scaling while in PvP combat just feels stupid. Example: "Your chimera shot hits 25% for less dmg against players." That's just Dumb. Make a separate game if this is what it's coming to. WoW is an MMO, and in my opinion for an MMO to be fun PvE/PvP need to exist together in harmony.
