Fate of WoW tomorrow at Gamescom

In less than 12 hours, tomorrow August 6, 2015 at Gamescom, the fate of World of Warcraft will be determined.

    Time is ticking....

You cant seriously believe the 'fate' of Wow hangs on what happens tomorrow. Do you?

I just... I just can't even with people on here anymore.

You act as if a big deal is going down. It's just an announcement to another installment in the WoW expansion lineup.

I wish you all would put this much passion into fixing up your respective country! Good Lord.

After seeing them down to Vanilla level subs, the lowest in nine years; losing millions of subscribers in less than a year?

Yes. I absolutely agree that the long term fate of WoW rests on what happens tomorrow.

Why not? If they can't generate a good deal of hype and then back said hype with quality content (which they have failed to do with WoD), I don't really see them being able to reverse the falling subs numbers.

It is a big deal. If it fails to build hype the game will internally implode with the massive exodus that will follow. Wow will still be running, but you can bet that Blizzard will take the time to scale down their operations at what they see as a "sinking ship" and invest it into their other games. The quality of the game will only get worse, unless this one last announcement changes that.

I normally don't put as much thought into it. But this time.. yeah, the fate of WoW is dependant on tomorrow. Seriously, what they announce may determine whether or not I keep paying attention to WoW.

Well the presentation tomorrow is very important. We'll see how much they care about the dipping subscriber numbers.

Not really - can tell you the "Fate of WoW" right now: to be milked of money by Kotick and company, until the withered husk of Warcraft is sold off for one final cash-out.

Nah, they're busy counting their cash while their kids play Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm.
