I've always enjoyed history, so i thought, why not create a thread about Castles?

I'll start with this (very old) youtube video, showing just 50 out of the more then 200 portuguese castles.

Living in the UK you kinda grow accustomed to castles and though some are pretty I personally ever rarely think about them

This is kinda a dream for me! If i ever get filthy rich a epic castle is on my to do list!

We don't really have castles in South Africa..

Although, we do have "The Castle of Good Hope", but I reckon they just called it that to make it sound more impressive, it's really more like a fort.

Personal favorite of mine is Neuschwanstein.

I went there this spring and holy shit that castle and the surrounding landscape is fucking gorgeous.

More like it's tiny grandfather, considering it was built nearly 300 years earlier than the Pentagon..
