PS¤ controller not working properly

Hi there, I have recently purchased a PS4 controller for my PC to play Witcher 3, however ever since i cleared my PC and reset Windows, it has been acting up.

When I play Witcher 3, the "O" key is standard for dismount, however when I hold the key nothing happens. I replug the controller, at then it works, however the button for the game menu (quest, alchemy, map and so on) opens up my pause screen, and the pause screen does not work. Furthermore, when I do open either of the menus if i use the stick, or arrow keys once, it moves twice for unknown reasons.

I have tried plugging it in and out and restarting PC.

Does anyone have a solution?

Uninstall the driver from device manager, try plug it in try again. If it still doesn't work see if there's a device driver online for it
