Resto Shaman Community

We are a group of shamans who have been working intensely the past couple of days to get this site (www.ChainHeal.com) ready for the public.

Our "council" consists of:
Dunderz - Pwnanza
Halucinogen - Enraged Revolution
Dorelei - Replicant
Mynt - Replicant
And lastly myself, Keehn - Ðanish Terrace

We've been wanting to create something awesome for other shamans to get excited about, by pooling together each of our experiences. We are putting out resto shaman guides, for each boss in Hellfire Citadel Mythic as we speak, with a focus on what you, as a resto shaman, can do for the group. Furthermore we are discussing what stats, talents and glyphs you might want to pick up when entering HFC progress and how our spells and cooldowns function.

You will also be able to find articles for various stuff on this site, for example Halucinogen talking about how he is working on ranking as a resto shaman, and how he sees farm raiding in general. SPOILER: Goodbye disc priest!

For the future we are planning to discuss all the new stuff happening to resto shamans as we are (hopefully) allowed to test the beta. This will grant some insight for all the people without access to the beta to get first hand information as we go through spellchanges, trinkets, artifact weapon and raids!

We are happy to present to you our project and our hopes of inspiring you guys!

Awesome idea! I have been attempting to, over the years, create and run a blog on my own resto shaman experiences(I've been healing every tier as one since Sunwell). I have a stream that is just getting up and running, please feel free to drop in Tues, Wed, Thurs 7-10:30pm CST to see me and my raid group in action! I've ranked in the past on various encounters, though I would love to rank higher and more often(we often run healer heavy in my group, making it difficult to make this happen regularly).

The blog is pretty blah right now, so I'll refrain from sharing that at the moment. The stream is also quite blah right now but it's easier to set that up than the blog is. :P

Thank you so much everyone for support, that is main reason we are doing this, to reach out community and make place where all resto shamans can share their thoughts or ask any kind of questions. We really hope you will tune in on site and help us keep it alive and better with each day. ever considered to make this a bigger project to satisfy the whole healing community including all classes? Single Class/Spec Projects are cool, but something about the whole role and healing meta is what I'm really missing. Because what you do in the end is an interactive team effort, right?

I'm playing my Priest for very long now and was always very glad we have howtopriest. Switched to Pala for 6.2 and am a little sad that there is (almost) no active community at all and we recently had to start over with theorycrafting, classguides etc. from scratch.

It is something we've discussed could be done in the future, but as of right now the main focus is to get quality content out to the resto shamans. This being said, we strongly agree that having all healers featured would be amazing!

Love the work so far. Infographics and flow charts are super great. Glad to see the collaboration from you all and look forward to some more reading.

Some criticisms;
* Be consistent in boss related articles. You have regeneration moments on Gorefiend for ideal potion timing, but not on others. That is certainly valuable information to know on a fight by fight basis.
* You've missed several casts that can be Sheared or Grounded. Off the top of my head; Agony and Volley on Socrethar, Terror Howls on Kilrogg. I think there was a couple others you've neglected to mention that either save dispels or large amounts of raid damage.
* There is inconsistency on Tooltip linking in several boss articles. Some of them you always link the tooltip to the spells you reference. Others you link it half the time and there doesn't seem to be any pattern as to the reason why.
* Hellfire Assault has a brief "this is what this boss is on Mythic" blurb at the top - "Since is the first fight you will encounter in HFC on mythic..." - and it forces the information after it down to a fresh line where its not wrapped around an image. Other bosses like Socrethar do not and it causes the Talents header and 30 talent choice breakdown to be out of sync with the 60 talent selection information. You also fail to distinguish headers/section starts with any form of formatting so its not as visually appealing. Information is great, its just an aesthetics thing. Formatting could be prettier.

Its getting late though and I'll give a better look through during some downtime at work tomorrow.

Yeah we've just been so excited to get it out there, that we probably have been skipping some of the minor things, such as inconsistency in the aesthetics. The potion use will be something to be added, we simply just haven't discussed it on the other bosses. But thanks for pointing it out!

I just registered for your website and was doing some browsing. I went to your forum section and I'm not able to post anything because when I navigate to the forum section, the website logs me out. I log back in and it brings me back to the main page. I go to forums and it logs me out.

Figured I would let you know about this, not sure if it's just me or if others are having the same issue.
