I actually thought It Follows was really damn good at setting up a unique premise and a great, tense atmosphere. It just sort of fizzled at the end. Really well done though.

It's been a loooooong dmn time. Mainly because as I got older, fright simply isn't possible for me while watching a film. Suspension of disbelief isn't strong enough ( for me at least).

It was the movie Silver Bullet. I watched it at night with my parents, with a full moon clearly visible IRL, on a drive-in movie screen.

Yeh, it was that long ago.

I downloaded an early copy of this movie before there was any real advertising for it. Then I told my girlfriend at the time the whole backstory (footage found in the woods, these people missing, yada yada) and we watched it with her totally convinced it was real found footage. I am actually kind of jealous that I didn't get to experience a movie like that.

The Thing, videodrone, the fly. basically anything with body horror freaks me out. love it though.

    also:
I've rewatch it. The plot was so bad...I mean science wise. But yeah the scenes were very good in terms of horror and the practical effects. Also DO NOT google up the frame by frame scenes of the other dimenssion!
    TOO LATE!!

Me too! Don't watch Communion either

The last one was probably the conjuring. But the one which scared me the most in the past few years was the "the thing" remake.

I wasn't scared exactly, but the babadook was the only horror where I was very worried for the characters involved. And extremely empathetic.

This thing. I highly recommend to all movie fans, it's more than just your average horror flick.

If we cound jump scares as real scares, then Insidious, whenever that came around.

If we don't... I can't remember. Not that I'm a tough guy, I can name tons of games, stories, creepypastas, mangas and other things that has made me genuinely scared, but I can't remember any movie that scared me in such a way.

Actually I do remember being scared as fuck from things in kids movies, such as Bamse and Dr Snuggles, but yeah, I was quite young back then. ^^

Come on, nobody is scared of movies, except really small children.

I don't recall ever being scared by a movie. But the electroshock scene in Stoneheasrt Asylum made me real fucking uneasy.

It was ok, when we watched it, we kinda missed some parts because we were too busy making "sex demon" jokes, debating which one of us would die first since since we would keep passing 'it" back and forth or would it just get confused and watch, and blaming any noises her cats made on the ghost/demon.

    The Taking of Deborah Logan.

Fuck that, never again. Note; I felt this way after watching The Conjuring (dat clap game scene); so don't hold me to it!

If you were scared when you were 13, and now you are not. doesn't that just means that you can't be scared so easily anymore? i'm guessing scary movies are the same, if not even scarier. Its just that we are all grow up.

That said, i got some real OHSHIT moments with Annabelle movie. Elevator scene was too much for me QQ
Signature was infraaaaaaaaaacted. Need a new one!
