Sadly, he's not seen drinking in the video so I seriously doubt that this is evidence enough of parole violation. Source : I don't know the conditions of his parole and I'm no lawyer.

That's pretty awful, though I'm not sure what being rich has to do with it. Maybe it's different in the UK, but I've seen cases here in NY where a drunk driver killed someone in an accident, gets his license suspended two or three other times over the next few years, then gets caught DWI again on a suspended license, and then later that same day gets into another accident and kills someone. He got two years in jail for the last incident.

Edit: And to clarify, he lived in the slums area, so I'm pretty sure he had no money to speak of.

I was wondering how a jury of 12 people let this kid go, and then after doing some reading I can see it was a judge getting paid off for a light sentence as usual.

The kid and the judge who sentenced him to probation should be executed to get rid of their contagious case of affluenza, before it infects the rest of society more than it already has.

I don't think this has anything to do with the person being rich. It was an accident (vehicular manslaughter) and that is what probably got the person out of prison time.

Without special consideration at the case at hand:
The law is supposed to be blind towards everyone and that is fine but there is a innately defect with that.
At the same time one (judge or jury) has to look at the whole picture and as such I would take my bet any day of the week as a white(in all countries not only US, including my), middle class+ person over anything else, justice ain't blind regardless of our value.

Its the dilemma of being your first(?) fuckup and deserve a 2nd chance contra 'goto jail fucker'. No easy answer really.

He killed 4 people, showed no remorse whatsoever, and his defense was "I'm too rich to know what I was doing."

He was only spared prison because the judge declared "he's rich so it's not his fault".

The exact same judge sentenced a 14-year-old black kid to 10 years in juvie after he punched a man, who hit his head on the pavement and died. Where's that kid's probation and community service?

He killed 4 people that night I dont know if you remember. Someone has to serve big time in prison, what if it was your kids/family who got killed? Don't think community service would sound fair.
