Mythic dungeons?

Is it plausible (not possible, plausible!) to heal mythic dungeons on a MW? And if so, what would be the minimum ilvl to do so? I'm at about 670 right now, and would really like to bang out those 4 mythic dungeons for the weekly quest, which seems to be offering a heroic HFC cache even though I've never done HFC on this character yet.

Plausible, sure - though it will depend on how good the tank/dps are.

I've done mythics on a 685 MW, but it was a guild group where the tank and dps were all 710+....so it really depends if you are just random pugging it, or getting some guild carry.

Random pugging at 670 is gonna be rough! (to the point that i would avoid it personally - but if you can get some guild carries - then go for it)

The good news is you can complete that quest even just doing Heroic dungeons. (JK just reread the announcement text, they are just referring to the increased rep, thought they changed the quest) I've healed mythics on my MW, but I'm also 720+ ilvl with my set bonus and such from HFC. That set bonus is godly for small group healing lol

Honestly at 670 I'd say no to pugging - that's going to be a whole world of pain, wipes and eventually getting kicked. Guild group with many CCs then yup - pug, no way.

685 ilv is perfectly doable. There's a difference between doable and speed runs. Sadly most people always expect the latter because they've got more important things to do like stand on the Stormwind fountain or IF bridge AFK with their rare mount.

MW are weak for 5-mans, but there's no spec in-game that CAN'T do them.

You'll just put in more effort than you would with other healer specs. I did one on my MW and then one on my Priest, and the difference was absurd. I haven't run them as a MW since.

Honestly if you have an offspec/pieces I would try that. Mythic 5 mans can be quite demanding to heal depending on group. You're going to have a harder time just trying to get an invite at your ilvl. If possible I would try with guild first.

Well! That wasn't bad. Managed to heal M Grimrail without much trouble at 677 ilvl; only 2 wipes, one from the DPS not killing the first boss evenly (and thus the tank got shrekt by the big orc because he was still at like 30% when the goblin died) and the other from a 2nd trash pack being pulled accidentally. Other than that it wasn't too hard. Challenging, but far from impossible.

Only problem is I went through like 15 groups declining me before I got accepted to one. :P

And that's as a healer. Imagine melee DPS.

My best advice to people is to join a guild because LFG in this game will kill your interest in it quick, pondscum grows in this game as the expansions come by.

I don't do guilds. I'm strictly a casual. I haven't really had any problems with the Group Finder; got AOTC for Highmaul and BRF, completely guildless.

I did try a guild shortly after BRF was released, and it was fucking atrocious. The officer who recruited me claimed that it was comprised of "retired top-100 world guild raiders" and such, but we ended up wiping on Heroic Hans & Frans. For two hours. Due to people dying to stampers and/or the 2nd tank getting 2-shot due to shit gear. Every single pull. Needless to say I nope'd the fuck out of there and the very next night, joined a pug for H BRF and went 10/13.

I don't ever plan on doing Mythic raids, so being guildless is fine with me.

Mm. I fistweave my way through 6.0 heroics. Fun times.

Didn't really have any problems healing Mythics from 677-683 ilvl. All of the tanks I got were decently geared enough. I'm still a bit scared to do Skyreach though, as the 2nd boss there is IMO one of the hardest bosses to heal in any 5man. Even on my ~700 Disc priest, I struggled to heal that fight. Ech.

I gave up healing Mythics at this point and changed to BM. When I'm a bit better geared, have some Tier bonus I'll be back healing. I kinda hate it that our 5-man healing is lackluster on this level.

I did it successfully when I was only ilvi 675. Now at 710 it's pretty easy.

I have up and just went Brewmaster. Got the offpieces, used my mw gear and bought crafted 6/6 wep. Absolute breeze. Doing same on my Blood Dk. Much faster and insta queues

I've been tanking and healing mythic dungeons since my monk was 665 ilvl in heroic Highmaul gear. ( I kinda skipped BrF after getting a new job at the same time it came out in real life).

Wipes in those dungeons are rarely due to a lack of healing, and most damage can be predicted, which is what allows MW to shine.
