I was talking with some friends yesterday about what is the worst thing to be afraid of? Like weird things...
obviously spiders are up there for alot of people... but i wonder what some of the weirder fears are that people have?

Hi
I still know a few people that are afraid of the dark and prefer some form of light to be on
You should fear air because it kills you..... very slowly.
because of a documentary she watched in High School once....
My girlfriend has a phobia of bridges. Like, will almost have a panic attack if stuck in traffic on one or have to suddenly drive over one she didn't see coming.
I'm supportive, but secretly I think it's pretty weird and don't understand it at all.
Apparently when I was younger... I had a big moth fly in my face. I don't exactly recall said traumatic event, or even when it happened :P But I've been terrified of any flying insect bigger then an inch across for my entire life (I'll be 28 in June.) Moths, butterflies, grasshoppers, flying spider crickets, locusts... you name it... I'm probably terrified of it. It's pretty safe to say 'any bug/spider with wings' qualifies. But butterflies are the top of my list.
When I was a kid... the San Antonio Zoo opened up this butterfly exhibit where you can walk in, and they land on you. My grandma tried to get me to go in there without saying what it was. The moment I saw big ass butterflies. I noped out there so fast it wasn't even funny. /shudder
I'm happy where I live in WA state. There's barely any bugs here!
I think agoraphobia would probably be one of the more life disrupting fears to have.

1 in 10 apparently are in urgent need of structural repair - which isn't quite 1 in 3 - but is still pretty scary!

More than 63,000 bridges across the United States are in urgent need of repair, with most of the aging, structurally compromised structures part of the interstate highway system, an analysis of recent federal data has found.
But I'm sure you'll find people that will just hand wave that away.
EDIT: Looks like we put up the same link at the same time.
not enough time to read Manga and watch Hen...err... Anime.
Donald Trump. That clamps my butt cheeks shut.
Imaginary things.
Think about it. So many people are afraid of what other might do or think, even though it's based on nothing.
Every other type of fear can be easily overcome imo.
The worst thing to be afraid of is fear. Fear causes a lapse in judgement, second guessing and panic. Fear prevents those unable to overcome it from truly living and causes us to spend a great deal of our mortal coils hiding from death rather than embracing life.
death and the afterlife. it's coming eventually, you'll have to face it and whatever happens afterwards. you're likely not going to find out anything about it until it happens. it's the ever looming evil in the distance, and it will always find a way to get you. eventually, it'll devour everything, as the universe itself goes black.
i'm terrified of the afterlife, not death really. it kinda makes my stomach hurt to think about dying, but as long as i don't have to live on afterwards, i'll be fine.
Of being alone. Not having anyone to talk to or interact with can and will change you for the worse.
Though my personal phobia is tryptophobia.
