Origin noob question (Sorry if off-topic)

Ok, so I just got Origin for the Sims 2.

I installed it on my own PC with my own Origin account.

My plan is now to install the game on my family member's PC using the same account.

Is there any conflict for this. Like if I'm logged into Origin (Guess you are logged in, if you play a game...Like Steam?) can other people not play the game as well. Like some sort of piracy-protecting/CD key thingie like as Diablo 2 account only allows 1 login pr. bought game.

Hope this explains it. Sorry if off-topic!

I assume you´ll get locked out of your account, once a second pc logs in, just like with steam.

I'd imagine that, like Steam, you can't be actively logged in and online from multiple locations/computers. I'm almost positive there's no issue if they simply play from their computer while you are not logged into Origin on yours.

I don't believe the Sims 2 needs to connect to the Origin servers, so you would just need to play it in Origin's Offline mode. Then the other PC can log in and play whatever they want to, even the same game.

Just be warned that the sims 2 on origin does contain securerom drm it has been known to cause a few problems and won't be removed if you uninstall the game you have to download a tool for that.

But as for the topic at hand I think Aiko is right on the money.
