I have the mount building in most of my garrisons and it allows me to use clickable items while still flying. Let's me use the green orb while the mobs take a sec or two to acknowledge I am there. By the time they finish their cast I already have it. That gets people especially butthurt.
It's not like you can usually interact with the objects without killing the mobs (and in the case of the blood orbs the mobs despawn if the orb is popped). How the hell is killing the mobs first "making your bed," when you can't do it the other way around? Also, the object that you interact with is usually worth more completion % than the mob you kill to get to it. If someone is killing mobs next to a blood orb/ritual circle/banner/etc, and you go swipe it, then yes you are being an asshole.

Well this is around since vanilla. PVE servers were well known for all other players being your enemy.

I have no issues w/ stealing flags or having mine stolen.

However, it's annoying to do quests during prime time. Good that I play horde on PvP realm and I can ask ally PvP buddies to clean area up

Build stables then burn all orbs and banners without landing. Like every sane person does

It's rude, I personally wouldn't do it, but I don't care overly if it happens to me. Such objectives can be quickly rediscovered.

What I consider a worse breach in ettiquette are people who go balls to the wall in defeating one of the four zone shout bosses. You just need to tap it, gawdammit!

Anyways, shit happens, deal with it or not, it's still gonna happen.

It depends. If they are fighting mobs near banner clearly wanting to click orb/flag next, then its rude. If they are pulling everything in sight, then they probably don't care anyway.

But if I'm in cross-realm group, all bets are off. Not my realm - don't care.

It's rude, but it doesn't really matter either.

Interesting. So it's not a matter of principal as far as you're concerned, but one of reputation and relationships?

The PvP would be always there if you needed it, but it would not mean that it is the default setup out in the wild. In same cases it might be restrictive or boring to have PvP avoided but that could be rectified easily with configurations like "even if that player does not want to engage in pvp, if the other faction actually invaded his zone, he has no choice, he will be in pvp mode no matter what, because it's an invasion, not vacation".
I think this would add some depth/maturity to the game, a level of nuance currently lacking.

That's why I hate outdoor content - there is no place for competition in PVE. But it looks like, that Blizzard design all world content with PVP servers in mind only. They want to you to hate other players. And Blizzard only make things worse - they give you far more % for secondary objectives, than for mobs themselves, which makes them mandatory and forces players to pursue secondary rewards in a first place. If secondary objectives wouldn't reward more %, there wouldn't any problem. But Blizzard created this problem intentionally. And we have to deal with it somehow.

I was always honest person. I was always trying to play the "right" way - how game is supposed to be played. But Blizzard make their community toxic by themselves. Everybody ninja loot in 5ppl? Why shouldn't I do the same? Everybody ninja secondary objectives in Tanaan? Why shouldn't I do it too? So. In the past I was calling such players "RAT!". But now I do Tanaan on my Druid. Other Druids ninja your spheres without fighting with mobs? Ok. It's my time to extract all benefits from this feature (I know, that Stables allow every player to do it, but I don't have room for Stables in my Garrison).

I really hate Sha'naar and Kra'nak zones due to lack of mobs/items, to many elites, that aren't effective way to progress for solo player and constant competition due to it. But I have to do them, cuz sometimes they are mandatory dailies - for example, when Throne of Kil'Jaeden is second daily. So, guess what? Currently I do this zones (and sometimes also Zeth'gol - when I have already done Unseen Influence) even without stepping on a ground. Yeah, I know, that this is exact reason, why some players hate flying. But I have no choice. Ground content design is too terrible. And I want other player to hate ground content even more. So. HATE MY DRUID.

P.S. Kill rares solo and grab treasure even when you've already done Unseen Influence - be a bad guy!

    I don't care about Wow 11.0, if it's not solo-MMO. No half-measures - just perfect xpack.

When people do that I very occasionally call them an asshole. That being said, depends on the mood, usually I let them to it. But if it just happened to me multipe times, or the daillies are taking too long, I occasionally do it too.

All is fair, it's an assault, you take down the targets..
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

Poor manners. Those banners / maps are worth 3 to 5x the completion points of the NPCs I had to kill to click them. If you want a free ride, dont be an asshat, ask me for an invite and we can share the thing and get it done multiple times faster......

Especially for the blood orbs in bleeding Hollow, as popping one can actually cause the NPC tied to it to despawn while I am in the middle of killing it, completely denying me any progression points at all...

If that had any bearing at all on the topic, you might have a point. But its not like the NPCs will just ignore you as you run in to click the banners / maps / other objectives. They actively prevent you from clicking them untill you kill them. So when some asshat runs in and nicks the banner you are trying to clear, it has absolutely nothing to do with "snoozing".

Now, if you could click the banners while the NPCs wailed on you, and then deal with the NPCs afterwards, and you chose to kill the NPCs first, THEN you would have a point.

To me, it's rude. But it's a game, and it happens all the time. I'll get annoyed, sigh, and move on. If someone does it to me, I'll do it right back to them. The -hilarious- thing, and this has happened nearly EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. is that when I do it to someone who has just done it to me, I get messaged back with all sorts of names. Now that is just uncalled for, and I will follow up with a report every time. -That- usually makes me feel all the better.
