We'll know in less than 10 days.
And then we have this site that says "late March"

Rumours are funny, no?
I just recently bought an Asus 4k monitor a month ago. It went on a steep sale and I couldn't pass up the price. Now for the past month I've been pushing it with a MSI 970. Luckily I had a back log of non-demanding games, but even so... been patiently waiting for news on the 1080ti. Cash is already saved and burning a hole in my pocket. I'm ready. I just hope there isn't a shortage this time.
I sat alone in the dark one night, tuning in by remote.
I found a preacher who spoke of the light, but there was Brimstone in his throat.
He'd show me the way, according to him, in return for my personal check.
I flipped my channel back to CNN and lit another cigarette.
Pretty much confirmed that it's going to be 1080 Ti. These images are from sweclockers.com, swedens biggest pc enthusiast site.
Hey guys what evga 1080 would you recommend? I heard the copper hydro has some heat issues. i don't care about fan sound or anything just performance, doing it with an I7 7700.
The new iCX I would recon.

It will actually be a new card namely a 1080X at that new $500 MSRP which will be OC'ed to 2.1 GHz out of the box.
I am glad that I did not buy a 1080 during Black Friday.
Depending on performance difference between 1080X and 1080 Ti I will decide on my nVidia card though I will still have to wait for RX Vega (Before anyone throw in a tantrum, these will be for OpenCL use, not gaming where I require the ability to run my code distributed over both brands of GPUs) to be done with my work as my poor GTX 560 Ti and R7 370 were not forming a good pair : /
Now the problem will be setting up a rig that can appropriately feed these at the same time as my current hosts that have 5820k and 5930k don't have the necessary PCIe lanes for the job it seems I will need to find a cheap E5-2630 v3 as Naples' arrival is rather far off : /

Eh what? Where did you hear about this 1080x?
Theyre releasing a new 1080 SKU that features a higher base clock and comes with the new 11Gbps DDR5X that is on the 1080Ti.
Same thing for the 1060 - only itll be factory OCed with 9Gbps DDR5X.
HOWever, the 499$ price drop on the 1080 is for the current model, effective immediately, AFAIK.
