For example, if you wanted to leave England, where would you go? You need a country that is better than the one you live in, so that rules out a huge chunk of other countries and you do not speak a language that anyone outside of your region understands, so that rules out the rest of the world.

Scotland? Personally if I ever hated England id attempt Canada or Australia, that said I see little reason to hate UK.

We're very isolationist in the US so we don't have any foreigners to point out our flaws. The left wing decided to take this task on, telling us how much we suck. Now since we have internet and have finally met some foreigners online the left sounds treasonous.

As a European, one thing startled me the most.
The very country that stands for modern progress the most, is also super scared of progression.

The US is already "European". It's culture is for the most part a mix of 50% English, 20% Latino, 10% French, 10% Dutch, 10% German.
What it lacks is social progress. That is all there is to it.
That progress would cause significant profit cuts for Corporate USA, and that lobby fights tooth and nails to prevent that from happening.
A large portion of the population falls for it.

Firstly I aren't talking about people with legitimate concerns who try to change for the better nor am I saying any one country is perfect BUT I really find people that constantly bitch about their own country as terrible but actively chooses to remain and not change anything incredibly annoying. I obviously understand certain things can annoy but imo people who constantly bitch about their country and chooses not to do anything can GTFO

Overall I am happy with where I live, I wouldn't change countries, majority of shit I don't like is people who are trying to change the country for the worse. If we could overhaul the election and education system things would be a lot better.

There's plenty about my home nation to bitch about, but that doesn't mean that I hate it. If it was a matter of true and profound hatred I doubt anyone with the means to leave a given country would remain - but for the vast majority I'd say it's usually a love/hate kind of relationship where there's an uneven mix of good and bad. Also, a single person can't always change the things they hate about a given nation - you can vote, canvas, and generally do all the things citizenship permits but that doesn't necessarily equate to change (add to that the notion that not every change a given person wants would be good in the general sense).

Anyway, when it comes to me, I do like my people's way of thinking and culture as I'm a part of it and many of its values are close to me. However, there are certain aspects of the said way of thinking and culture which, until we get rid of them, won't allow us to overcome our internal problems.
