Scotland? Personally if I ever hated England id attempt Canada or Australia, that said I see little reason to hate UK.

Same place as my hobbling aunt-in-law gets to sit when we drive her to her chiropodist. You can say we should turn right but we won't listen!

If Canada was always summer, id probably never visit other countries, like ever. No point lol. I bet its the same thing most nordic nations think of lol.

Who says they are just bitching and not trying to change anything?
That someone posts on the internet does not mean that is all they do every hour of their lives, and it is impossible for you to ascertain otherwise.

And what if they can't leave? Moving to another country isn't free or easy.

This is a very poorly considered topic.

Are Yorkshire English and Scottish English mutually intelligible?

It is not particularly easy to migrate to Canada or Australia, you cannot just pack your bags and go.

The US is already "European". It's culture is for the most part a mix of 50% English, 20% Latino, 10% French, 10% Dutch, 10% German.
What it lacks is social progress. That is all there is to it.
That progress would cause significant profit cuts for Corporate USA, and that lobby fights tooth and nails to prevent that from happening.

Why would you want people to change the way they think? If you dont like the way people think or even worse, culture, it's just plain racist towards your own country. If you hate your country so much to the point that you cant stand the way people are, just move. There is no reason to be sentimental, too.

I know how to get into Canada at least. First you go to Syria, become a refugee, then they'll pick you up and give you a first class flight to your new life of luxury in moose city. Ez.

I bitch a lot about mine. (Brazil)
Too much corruption, too much violence, not enough education and everything I like is pricier.

I try to do my part, but it's virtually impossible to do anything when any effort is screwed by corruption, and it's even worse that the only way to actually do something is to corrupt yourself.

Soon enough I will try to do my residency somewhere else, and lucly, emigrate there. It's a little hard to keep the wishful thinking after going through the kind of shit I had to.

Malta is boring. The weather is nice, though today has been a bit meh.

And I did not leave England because I hated England, I still spend about a quarter of the year in England.

Overall I am happy with where I live, I wouldn't change countries, majority of shit I don't like is people who are trying to change the country for the worse. If we could overhaul the election and education system things would be a lot better.

There's plenty about my home nation to bitch about, but that doesn't mean that I hate it. If it was a matter of true and profound hatred I doubt anyone with the means to leave a given country would remain - but for the vast majority I'd say it's usually a love/hate kind of relationship where there's an uneven mix of good and bad. Also, a single person can't always change the things they hate about a given nation - you can vote, canvas, and generally do all the things citizenship permits but that doesn't necessarily equate to change (add to that the notion that not every change a given person wants would be good in the general sense).
"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

I use my vote. I also set a good community standard by not being an obnoxious cockhead in public which for the area I live in, is quite a rarity.
I may not agree with what you say but I will fight to the death to defend your right to say it.

    I tried that, I cannot.
There are so many great American people in my life.
At best, I get annoyed sometimes when someone tries to be evasive to progress or change. That's anecdotal though.
In my day to day operation I function on the basis of American innovation and laid back attitude, combined with German efficiency and skill.

So, according to you, if you don't like a certain culture = you're a racist towards it? Great logic.
Anyway, when it comes to me, I do like my people's way of thinking and culture as I'm a part of it and many of its values are close to me. However, there are certain aspects of the said way of thinking and culture which, until we get rid of them, won't allow us to overcome our internal problems.

Yeah people bitch about stuff. But i don't understand how you can actively change things that are not in your power to change.

I don't like my government. How can i actively change it?
The answer is, i can't unless i murder them all GoT style or wait for their term to finish.

In before "you should go to the streets and protest". Protests achieve nothing.
