How're you holding up in the wait? Getting pretty anxious about not being able to spend all these points I've banked up while I hear guildies talk about all their cool traits -_- Regretting the ~12k power I spent getting prot and holy to speed.

Steve Irwin died the same way he lived. With animals in his heart.
Dealing with it fine. Just don't open the artifact window and you're good. :P
Banked 42,725 AP so far (specced into AtA, ofc), so 25k more until i can respec, knowing that tomorrow i'll have the first artifact knowledge level which is +50% gain to AP, i'm not terribly worried about it.
Tomorrow? Goddamn Europeans...33 more hours until level 1 for me. 39,525 banked. I'd be so close if I didn't spend points in my alt specs...

I feel like a complete noob when asking this, but... what are u guys on about? :S
We don't have to store then in the bank do we? I've been using them but just not spending any points.
The widely agreed-upon best strategy for spending artifact power for ret paladins involves spending 9 points (going directly to Ashes to Ashes through the crummy traits like Unbreakable Will and Protector of the Ashen Blade) then stopping spending your artifact power completely until you collect 67000 of it. At that point you respec your artifact, then go the long way around to Ashes to Ashes (y'know... sharpened edge, Wrath of the Ashbringer, Highlord's Judgment, Might of the Templar... Lots of really good amazing traits)

The respec cost is the same as you would spend on your next trait, so if you spend your points it will cost a lot more to respec than if you wait.
Yeah if you do it right you only lose 625 power from the respec. Chump change!

I feel as this is a little broken hehe, like it makes sense when u guys say it, but.. from a gameplay point of view, saving up all those points without using them feels.. meh.
Well if u like to min max things then u defo have to pool . Lacking a bit early on (when u enter lfg pugs with various lfr heroes) to come on par when it matters (in 3-4 weeks time) is the way of the hardcore raider. U could as well keep going and loose 3-4 weeks later on however most high end guilds would prefer to have u min maxin everything... even relic picks that have so far received minimal attention.
Anyways wouldnt think hard about it its only a long conversation and lots of thought invested into a mere min maxing thing.
Funny how Blizard turned from a gold/cash and rng related min maxing system to a more farming/loyalty awarding system irrelevant to otherwise attained currency. More and more offers about having-your-traits-upgraded services for cash instead of gold and boosts for vanity items..

I did not bother with the respec method. I am going the long way around to A2A, 18 traits. Can anyone quickly explain the ramifications of doing this method over the respec method?
You lose out on your best trait ever while gearing up. Ashes to Ashes is incredibly strong in every situation and worth having handy for the gearing process.
Basically the reset route is about investing in being as strong as you can at the stat and the finish, but with an absolute lack of progression between the two.

ahh kk ic, so in the long run no difference, actually taking the long ways is more efficient for AP just wont have A2A during the gearing process.
