    Coffee vs. Tea

This might be a regional or cultural thing, but I've been curious lately about what most people prefer. The stereotype is that America is a country that guzzles coffee down by the hundreds of thousands of gallons, while the Brits prefer their posh tea time, and the rest of the world is either/or. Except in Asia. Most eastern cultures are big on tea.

So, here's a poll to see how the stereotypes hold up. Where are you from, and which do you prefer?

As for me, I fit the American stereotype to a T. I can't drink enough coffee. I typically drink an entire pot of coffee every day. I love the stuff, hot or cold. Since the fall is here my latest thing is to mix cinnamon in my coffee grounds to get a nice, cinnamon flavor naturally in my coffee and it's just awesome. I also love CGP Grey's video on coffee:

    So which do you prefer?

I drink a lot of both, cold and hot.

Chai teas, sweet tea, unsweet tea, Ear grey.

Coffee, cold press, nitro, hot, etc.

Can't say I'd like to live without either.

I drink coffee at least twice per day, most days 3 or 4 times and I like it both hot and cold. Tea is good too though (all types of tea without milk of course), and I like to drink it in the evening.

Lots of coffee drinking in Sweden, we find any excuse to have a "fika". I don't drink either of them though, I'm more of a milk-man.

I never liked coffee, and thus don't drink it at all. I occasionally drink tea, though, so I guess that wins for me.

    1. Props for linking one of my favorite channels
    2. Coffee Hands down. I only like tea if it's sweat so I won't drink it, but I do like green tea just not as much as coffee.

Coffee, especially hot, is a crime against humanity. Tea all the way.

I drink coffe as a stimulant and cold matte tea as a refreshment. Can't say I'm addicted.

    I don't like coffee.

Tea is nice, but probably 95% of what I drink is water.

I cannot stand coffee, I supposed it's an acquired taste I absolutely love all kinds of tea.

    Only coffee for me.

One thing to keep in mind is that coffee is consumed in far larger quantities worldwide compared to tea. Per capita consumption of coffee starts at 12 kg (Finland) and doesn't drop down below 1 kg until 81st place Morocco.

Tea, on the other hand starts at 7.54 kg (Turkey) and drops below 1 kg at 24th place Japan.

    I used to hate coffee.

My girlfriend started dragging me to Dunkin Donuts though during a month sale because it was a cheap drink. There's no turning back now.

But tea is better overall I'd say. It's great to drink while sick, and it still tastes better in my opinion.

Coffee is for when I'm too lazy to make tea (Keurig in that case) or I'm at work.

As a Brit I'm legally obligated to vote tea.

I don't drink either. Caffeine is for drug addicts.

Caffeine is the greatest drug ever with only positive benefits, both long-term and short term. So why not be an addict?
