I've seen people my entire life who love the stuff, but I've always found it repulsing. I think it's a really acquired taste,so I want to see so! Do you guys like the stuff?

By itself, rarely. On a Reuben though? I wouldn't have it any other way.
Yes, I love it grew up with it as a staple as my Grandmother was German
I grew up with it and I have never really been a fan.
Sauerkraut is a key ingredient of many great dishes. Try Reuben-Style Shepherd's Pie.
As German naturally :P
As an Englishman, never tried it.
Heh. Put it on yer Freedom Fries.During World War I, due to concerns the American public would reject a product with a German name, American sauerkraut makers relabeled their product as "Liberty cabbage" for the duration of the war.
Never had any exposure to it at all growing up in Australia. Visited Netherlands in '15 and they had it at every hotel breakfast buffet that we saw. I liked eating it with the various meats on offer.
Quite a boring form of fermented cabbage. If you want the upgraded version, try Kimchi: The Food of Kings! It has all the health benefits of sauerkraut and more!

You know -- live, fast, dye young, and leave a pretty copse. I feel like I may not have that quite right.
I enjoy it very juicy. Other than that? Not really. Esp. with Meat it tastes quite well imho.
And yes, I am from a german country, so of course I am biased.
We have "kraut dogs" that I like to eat from time to time. The hot dog and sauerkraut go good together.

On a Reuben or hot dog . I don't keep it at home though.
Yep, can't remember not liking it. Sauerkraut + kielbasa + potatoes, all day, every day.
