How not? They enacted socialists policies (such as price controls and nationalization) and then those backfired. Oil had a role to play, but Venezuela was already in trouble before the prices started plummeting.

Really? I think if asked and you know you can improve the situation what his kind are trying to do should warrant some respect. It is easier to decline the offer and shout from the side lines.

If that's neutral, I wonder what the "critical" responses are...oh wait.

They called out Trump for trying to sabotage the Iran deal.

And they've won that fight before.

They've called out Trump for refusing to work for peace with North Korea, refusing to continue the peaceful Iran deal, and also, for choosing not to believe in climate change. Yes, that was France, in theory an ally.

They've condemned Trump for failing to condemn American Nazis and the KKK.

And since he used the word "sovereign" 21 times in 42 minutes, he's either telling every country they're on their own, or he played Mass Effect last night. Based on what he's said about the UN being useless before and those tiny hands, I'll side with the former, but I've been wrong before.

You have socialism in the US, they pay for your police force among other things. You have plenty of socialist ideologies that work and European nations are proof of that.
Taxes and other public services like the police are not socialist, who taught you that?

She has every reason. At time of writing, 100% of the people she nominated for a government job have withdrawn from consideration. The claim was they didn't want to divest from their assets, but since she's a friend of Trump's and they didn't divest, that's a bullshit reason. They're just afraid to board a sinking ship.

I liked how you skipped over my previous response and taxes used to pay public services for are a socialist mechanism. Since the opposite would be a private sector to provide those service.

The real question here is, did you even attend high school?

It depends on who owns the means of production and distribution. And since it includes regulation, it's not a clear cut case at all.

It's also off topic, and deserves its own thread.

The most popular and loved programs/institutions in the US are examples of socialism. Even most republicans love socialism.

It isn't lol. All forms of government have public services and taxes, by your logic, if a state exists it's immediately socialist and we both know that is an absurd idea.

You live in a black and white fantasy world so ofc you wouldn't understand the idea that a capitalist system can have socialist aspects.

"it isn't lol" good to know you cannot come up with an actual argument. Also a state does not have to be fully socialist to utilize socialist mechanisms, the world is full of nations like that. A big one i think you might now is called in short the USA, i think you might have heard of it?

So wrong twice in a row now, care to go for a hattrick?

Your problem is that you're treating socialism as if it's some sort of binary thing where a state is either 100% socialist or 0% socialist. THAT'S the absurd idea.
