    best 10-man setup in wotlk

Hi all! Me and my friends is thinking about making a 10-man PvE guild since all 25-man dungeons is available in 10-man.
Would be nice to hear you guys opinions about the best setup!
    I was thinking something like:

    Warrior - tank

    Death knight - tank

    Resto shaman

    Holy paladin

    Resto druid

    Ele/enh shaman

    Ret paladin

    Rogue

    Mage

    Spriest

This setup feels kinda nice, since you probably need 3 healers in the beginning.. One thing i'm uncertain of is the tanks, what's the best MT/OT?
Give me all of your opinions!

It will be not that setup for sure.... reason? how can u/we know what will work in wotlk and how bosses will look like?
Its like for 1 instance u will be forced to use 2-3 setups as now in sunwell for example.
There is no answer for this question yet,

Really any setup could work, I doubt blizzard is leaving any class behind for 10 mans, so with 2 tanks, 3 healers, 5 dps/cc/support should be fine.
Any tank can do the job, but for OF death knights and Druids do a better job because of their better dps setup, but pallies an warriors are getting some dps tools on their taking tree on wotlk so I really can't say. In short words any combination of tanks is great. For healers is the same, each one brings something different so you should be fine with any combination. For dps you should bring 3 straight dps and 2 dps/support like shamans, druids, priests and pallies.

Enjoy, if you have that setup already it should work fine, and even better if they are close friends, better communication . that's my 2 cents

Re: best 10-man setup in wotlk

    There is no one answer.

Think of TBC 5-mans....some a pally tank is "must have" or another "we need a lock" or "we need sheep"

Kara and ZA have different ideal group makeups.

Whats ideal for one may be not so ideal for another.

Even if there was one ideal setup, you'd still want alts for when real life comes up and someone cant make it.

Re: best 10-man setup in wotlk

    funny question this...

i take my friends or the "good guys" whatever their classes are as long as there is 1 tank and 2-3 healers. (i take the other tank role)

If we were to level up a whole guild from zip/nada, we probably would try to make it like this:

    First 5

    Paladin
    Druid
    Warrior
    Priest
    Shaman

Versatility in raid composition makes the best group as no-one is forced to do some job the whole time. My experience has been than tanking and healing are the most "not-wanted" jobs if contract is made for lifetime.

those 5 characters can make upto: 4 healers, 3 tanks, 4 melee dps, 3 ranged dps. 3 of them can res off-combat and 1 in-combat.
Obviously they cannot be all of that at the same time, but it gives several group makeups which can benefit eachother and the rest 5 of the raid.

    Second 5

Does not matter <- the best point.
If they take versatile characters too its just a plus. but basically the really needed jobs are already filled. Death knight in here would be nice, as we don't know that much about their versatility and the actual need for their tanking skills. (the "dk-tankable" bosses can probably be tanked by other tanks too, its just harder. Or wise versa, they might be able to tank more that just a few places)

Another great thing with this setup is that the first 5 characters can form up 2 bases for normal/heroic instances, just add 5 dps ^_^
i don't know about others but im not going to raid 24/7 and 5 mans with friends are way better than pugs

Further than this kind of planning i cannot make, different instances/raids (ehich i really don't have a clue yet) are easier with some classes, harder with others, but i believe none of them are impossible forever with any of compositions made with this plan.

Re: best 10-man setup in wotlk

    1 warrior Tank
    1 Shaman healer
    1 mage
    2 hunter survival

    the second group
    Warlock
priest - shadow or not for shaclke
    3 Hunter survival..

    YEAH THAT IS THE POINT

Re: best 10-man setup in wotlk

World of casual craft will use these setups in 10 mans:
    Warrior - Tank
    DK - Tank
    Paladin - Healer
    Druid - Healer
    Priest - Healer
    Shaman - Healer
    Hunter - DPS
    Rogue - DPS
    Warlock - DPS
    Mage - Food

    lol no

tbh we cant tell now how many tanks or healers it will need, because we dont know how the raid encounters will look like. And i think there will be at least one raid that will need more than 2 classes capable of tanking. so tbh all those "1x tank 2x healer 7x hunters" atm are useless
