JUST hit 80 on beta, leveled from 79-80 in 8 hours played as frost. Blood Caked Blade is like a super strong sword spec. I love it. Here's my build

Yes, I am. Leveling in Northrend is fun as hell, I want to do so many quests again



I've gotten bored of Live, and got guild kicked and removed from my 1900 and 2k arena teams

Questions:

1. How long does it take to level from 70-80? Is it around the same length as 60-70?
2. Were there any parts in leveling from 70-80 where you felt like you had no quests to do, or had to grind mobs to level up?
3. Is Outland or Northrend more fun to level up in?
4. Are there a crap load of elite group quests, or you can level to 80 easily by yourself?

It took me a month to get from 70-80, And a week to get from 58-68 as DK.


Nope, always a load of quests to do. And there's new factions like DETA who's quests are fun and give a lot of XP.

Northrend for sure.

There's a few elite quests, most are 3 mannable, and some even soloable as a blood DK or hunter.

I do massive damage to people in 80 gear, though. 4k frost strike hits now

Howling Blast

Frost Strike

Deathchill

Obliterate.


Aprox. 6 second kills.

The "lol u just haf to do it again in a few months" arguement is beyond flawed.

As someone who leveled to 70(twice) in the TBC beta, I can definitely tell you it's worth it.

You get extra knowledge of the quests, quest rewards, higher level class abilities, added talent possibilities, and then there's just the fact that you aren't as likely to stop at something surprising just to watch(like when you first walk through the dark portal).

I only got one question. What is up with your spec. You have got about 9 wasted talent points and missing some of the best talents. Where you just mucking around when you made it or is it pvp orientated.

Chill of the grave is the most glaring to be missed and the fact you went chillblains is real puzzling

either you're slow or they (devs) fail :P
if lvl-ing a char from 70 to 80 takes THAT much, i really should make some serious plan before starting a new alt XD

the good thing is he will be able to lvl 2x faster when wotlk goes live. just knowing the quest lines and where to farm xp when u have to is really what most beta players do.

didnt blizzard just unlock the lvl cap a week ago from 77-80?

I personally cant wait till LK goes live all the quests look really fun and better than the boring outland quests since there was like 2 bombing ones that were actually fun then no more

For the no cost mind freeze talent, really useful.

Just found some new sigils in trade.



One increases Death Coil damage by 450ish


One increases the healing you get through death strike by 20%


One increases the crit chance of your frost strike by 5%


One gives your ghoul a new attack.


All the names were like DK Sigil #1 etc.

One month - don't forget the cap was at 77 for quite a while, so he's not extremely slow :P

Leveling isn't a race for most people, the game's here to enjoy not just to rush and get epix before everyone else to stroke your epeen.
