Easiest Way though Naxx, Any suggestions?

So the guild i currently am in is still faily new and young. We have pretty decent tanks but have a lack of healers. So we sometimes have to pick up a healer here and there. The last time we tried Naxx one of the healers suggested We go to patch first and if we can beat Patchworks then its worth finishing this run but if not its a waste of time. We tired patchworks and Failed Pretty bad. So my Question is what would u suggest for a newer guild learning the fights the easier progression thru 10- man naxx.

Now before you start to flame and say naxx is puggable and should be no problem either way. Save yourself and myself the time. Also please dont respond well check this website and they would tell you. Cause if i hadnt already done that i wouldnt be making this post.

So once again for a new guild learning Naxx which bosses would you take on first and in What order. Thank you in advance

    Agree with this.

On a side note: Patch first is a must for any pug. I always ask for this because it is the easiest way to test the raids competence.

Re: Easiest Way Thru Naxx, Any suggestions???

Patch is considered a gear check. If you can't make it past that you're not going to full clear with the gear and players you have. Thats why they wanted to go there first. A guild starting Naxx should go to the Arachnid Quarter first and honestly split up your group into 2 and go run heroics. The gear from heroics is almost naxx 10 quality so when you go back to Naxx and have gotten used to playing together you'll be glad you did. Also were you running 2 or 3 healers? I know I'm going to get flamed for this but to make your life easier as you're learning the fights run with 3. Once you've got it down switch one to dps.

Re: Easiest Way Thru Naxx, Any suggestions???

/agree with all posts thus far.
of all the wings there is 1 fight that will test you, spider is maexenna, this will test yr healers ability and tanks gear, plague is heigan, this will test yr groups ability to run back and forth, honestly if ppl die here after a few practice runs they fucking idiots. construct is as before mentioned patchwerk, purely tanks gear check, and four horsemen in military, a test of your groups ability to work as a team.

back to your original topic, there is no 'easy' way of doing naxx, f yr group has half a brain it is an easy raid, but of course if u new to raiding some fights will take practice, just farm heroics until u have what u need, then its all up to individual skill, ppl doing what they need to when they need to.

    good luck

3 heals is win for new groups. also, i've never seen a pug do patchwerk10 with only 2 heals unless the tanks were also wickedly geared.

Looking at the stats in ur sig.. i think your guild should focus on heroics first.

Re: Easiest Way Thru Naxx, Any suggestions???

My first naxx run as a healer I still had some of my lvl70 crafted gear. And I wasn't the worst geared either. had done the run to 80 fast and hadn't stopped in any instances on the way - or done any lvl 80 zones for that matter. A bit of AH shopping and I barely made 1500sp - I think my health and mana were around 13.5k.

Sure we struggled - but it was actually doable. The first run was 2 nights of 6hrs each and we failed at sapph with no FR gear (gave up more like - I was knackered and it was 2am...) . But the real point? We killed 13 bosses. And thats what - 35 epics or something??

Week later we did the run with the same guys, knocked the whole thing off in 6 hours with maybe 3 wipes (damn slackers not paying attention - oops hang on that was me dying to dumbness) and pretty much had it sorted.

Don't worry about how hard it is and what order to do it - go in and kill some bosses. Treat it like everyone did on loot reaver - take the easy bits then step up. You never know - by the time you get to patch the epics you just got could be the difference.

Thanks for the advice so far. I plan on doing alot more heroics but i only play about 1-3 times a week ( being a new dad and work) but the main reasosn i want to know the easiet progression is becuse unlike the old days( mc/bwl) u expect to whipe and learn for hours at a time untill you learned the encocunter. But players these days dont have the same paitennce. So trying to gear up the guild while in creasing their confidence

all bosses < grobbulus (if ur raid doesnt kno properly what to do)

Smart move from the healer you picked up:
    - Patchwerk down => group can clear
    - Patchwerk not down => no raidID

But to your question, I find Razuvius easier than Anub Rhekam. I guess it depends what your strength is (good heal/bad tank, go Razuvius, good dps/bad tank, go Noth, etc...). Basically anything but Patchwerk is good to start.

The point is that naxx is so nerfed compared to any old wow content that you don't need to be more then casual to clear it. Dungeon blues is more then enough, if you fail it's 95% sure that you're executing wrong or have a very bad set up. Just have the raid leader do his/her homework and actually know how to execute stuff, naxx a walk in the park. I'm in a casual guild and we raid 2 times each week and have cleared all 10/25 men content (incl 3d). This just shows how easy wotlk is so far as long as your group has PvE experience and know how to follow tactics. Just know how to deal with the "hard" parts, it should be doable even for players new to wow if they are instructed well.

Re: Easiest Way Thru Naxx, Any suggestions???

Patch is not the easiest boss but the boss to test whether you should get saved or not, as others have said before.

The easiest boss in Naxx is Noth, but his trash is harder than all of Spider wing combined, so most guilds start on spider wing.

Gothik is the second easiest boss but Razuvious actually requires coordination.

If your guild has trouble with coordination or just wants to do the easiest fights first while gearing up, you should go Spider-wing, Noth, Razuvious, Gothik.

Re: Easiest Way Thru Naxx, Any suggestions???

Spider wing is by far the easiest but you won't be doing Meaxxna if your healers can't handle Patch.

Re: Easiest Way though Naxx, Any suggestions?

A lot of ppl saying DK wing is harder than Abom...but I disagree.

    Instructor:
Tanks just bone shield taunt off each other
    DPS on boss
    Healers on understudies

    Gothik:
.....Just tank and spank, and bloodlust when the gates open

    4HM:
Taunt rotation every 3 dots at the front

1 healer and 1 range dps at the back, rotate position after 3 dots.

Bit of a learning curve this one.

Abom wing is heaps harder. First you got patchwerk for gear check, Grob is just a pain if ppl keep dropping poison everywhere, Gluth fails when ppl fails to kite properly but Thad is easy.

You got 3 hard fights in Abom wing and only 1 hard fight in DK wing.

Start with 3heals, go for two after few clears.

Re: Easiest Way though Naxx, Any suggestions?

Spider Wing is a complete joke.

Plague Wing is a matter of teaching people the Heigan Dance and the Loetheb mechanics.

Deathknight Wing is easy except for 4H (which is fairly easy with 3 healers) and teaching people to use the MC correctly on Instructor.

Abo Wing is varied. Patches is easy with 3 healers, Grobb can be challenging as can Gluth. Thadius is a matter of teaching the fight mechanics and not dying to Platform Boss.

Re: Easiest Way though Naxx, Any suggestions?

It's weird but I definitely think that Razuvious is the easiest boss, even easier than Anoob Rekhan.
Maybe this comes from back in the day when I went to my first naxx Pug runs as the raid leader, we wiped on anoob like 3 times, then went to razuvious, killed him, all the way till gothik, then went on with Anoob and just ran through to Maexxna.

But what I really ment to say was: if you are a new group make everybody go online and read every single boss encouter, maybe even look up videos if you guys have time ( I know tankspot is doing this great thing with explaining every boss in a vid)
