lol...
post of the week,
and it's still monday.
Ofcourse not... WHO do you think I am? a Garbage MAN?!?!? Outrageous...
Yes, so I can go AFK again on farm runs.
If by epic it meant it really didn't matter what you did in the 40 mans, then yes they were epic.Originally Posted by icey_red

Far from BiS, but hey, I work with whats given to me.
The raids had some attractiveness to them, but overal I prefer the current situation. 40 men raids were a lot harder to coordinate and the idiot factor played a much bigger role.
Also there was a higher chance of of disconnects and far more problems to get enough people online to do the raid with.
People tend to forget about all the bad parts of such raids and how it excluded a large number of people from being able to raid at all.
I'm fairly sure that 90% of the guilds wouldn't even be able to raid a 40 men instance anymore simply because guilds overal became smaller. I know that my guild wouldn't be able to raise more then 30 people on average per night and we're somehwere in the top 20 on the server.
Sometimes I wonder if 25 men is still too big, but I think the number is okay now.
Stupid post. Won't happen anyway, so why bother thinking about it?

40 people are likely to include a few more idiots.

If you don't like it, go on the internet and complain.
hell no, my laptop can hardly run WoW even in H Ulduar, I'd rather hang myself than get back to 40m
why bother thinking about anything that probably won't happen???? think about what you just said.Originally Posted by Socronoss

A typical 40 man was essentially a 25 man with 15 slackers
some one could easily AFK a whole 40 man without any one really noticing (lack of performence mods in the early days too)
It was rly fun raid 40 man but I also had 3 FPS in fight... But today I have better computer than before..
I would really love to participate in 40 man raids as i never had the chance to (Post TBC player) but i don't think 40 man raids would really be played as a lot of people have terrible comps and won't be able to handle the lag
With performance mods (i.e. Recount) people wouldn't really be able to AFK on bosses anymore so that would take care of that crap going on. As much as I loved doing 40 mans, I think the 25 man raids really helped to get guilds thinking a lot more about who to bring and forced players to become better or else be sat out. On the other hand, having 40 mans would force a bunch of the terribad guilds on my server to disband so we'd reduce the number of bad guilds from a lot who can barely get 25 to a few who have way more than 40 (on my server anyways).
I think the main appeal of the 40 mans were that epics were epic and meant something back in the day (/equip "Nostalgia Goggles") and downing a boss with 3 fps due to the sheer amount of things going on onscreen was awesome to watch.
yes
We don't really need topics like this. I had a ton of fun in 40 mans back in the day but needless to say a lot of the time it really felt like 25 good players and the others being carried and could totally slack off during the encounter. More players, believe it or not, does not make better boss encounters anyway.
10/25 is doing just fine.
We are warriors, born from the light
An army for freedom, defenders of life
Warriors, euphoria will rise
Returning from darkness we bury all lies
No. I already have a tough time putting up with the incompetence of 24 other people.
