I cant seem to find this anywhere, but does anyone know of a calculator/forumula that allows me to calculate that damage that my Powerword Shield Absorbs. Thanks.

Recount Guessed Absorbs and WoL Parser are both fairy acurate +-10% depending on how many other absorb effects are active in your guild.
What each do is account all the absorbs to the most recent (within 30sec) absorb effect placed... like this:
Disco Priest: PW:S Placed
Holy Paladin: Sacred Shield Placed
Tank takes hit
Holy Paladin gets full absorb for both Sacred Shield and PW:S
This is the +-10%... you could get more... you could get less.
From the recent Priest Q&A, it seems like the new combat log will make this discrepancy even tighter.
1. Use Glyph of Power Word: Shield.
2. Look at the amount it heals for when you use a shield.
3. Multiply times five.
...does not give you as accurate picture as RGA and WoL. If a Disco priest spams the raid w/ shields.. he/she will have a much higher calculation than either of these two parses.Originally Posted by Kalkulon

This is assuming you're a Disc priest, and have picked up all the talents that enhance your shield:
-Twin Disciplines
-Imp PW:S
-Focused Power (?)
-Borrowed Time
The way i discovered it was:
- use the addon MSBT (MikScrollingBattleText or something) this will show your incoming hits, separated in absorbed/damaged
- do the daily from the argent tournament where you need to collect rocks by destroying larger rocks
- stand on a bomb when you plant one, don't run away as you normally would
It does about 10k damage, enough to survive and calculate your shields normally.
Well in 3.2, WoL and RGA will be more accurate due to the new way absorbs are showed in the combat log.
