Vote about which class best counters your main. Post what your main is and why you feel that class best counters it. This isn't a thread to judge other people's opinions. It is a thread to (1) express your opinions about classes that counter yours and (2) see, in general, which classes are most viewed as counter classes.

Edit: I voted rogue because they are the hardest to heal through on my disc priest.

And tbh, you should have chosen Warlocks, couse they seem to be the hardest to heal trough.

i'm a death knight frost with a pvp spec going deep frost and into blood for a self heal

i can kill any melee easily even a ret paladin with 3 health bars from bubble and lay hands

ranged except the good frost mage are easy prey

but rogues can get me every time even if i IBF, blood boil and DnD

Prot healers are #1 with resto druids on their heals... (no punz intended). I used to think that rogues were OP 1v1 vs my mage but I've since L'd2P so as far as mage v rogue goes I'm pretty untouchable. There is only 1 rogue that I've met who can beat me and being that he was up to 2500 as Mage/Rogue AND has a 2k Mage i don't feel too bad losing to him.

All I will be saying is from a 1v1 point of view, since it's the most logical way to answer this question.

On my Hunter Surv: Rogue, Warlocks. A good Rogue who knows when to use his stuns/cd's pretty much destroys me, a Rogue who doesn't, on the other hand is easy pie. Warlocks just either fearspam you or 3-5 shot you if they're destro (even with my 750 resi and 23k health.

On my Hunter as BM: I completely destroy Rogues/Locks with this spec, which should be obvious why. There aren't much classes who can beat a good BM hunter in 1v1. I would have to say either a Surv Hunter (Lol, yea :P) or maybe still a destro lock (If he gets some lucky crits off before I blow him up with Bestial Wrath)

On my Shaman as Resto: Warrior, Rogue, Warlock. Mostly just Rogue and Warrior. Rogue for stunning me 24/7 and since all my decent heals got a cast time, I'm still pretty much fucked. Can't hold out much longer then 4-5 minutes against a decent Rogue in Arena atm. Warrior because I just can't handle the MS with their fine DPS and Spamstring yet, but that's just a gear issue I guess. Warlock, because I can't dispell their Immolate or I get fearspammed with dots on 2+ targets.

On my Shaman as Ele: Rogue, DK, Ret Pala. Not going to explain this AT ALL :'(

On my Feral Druid: Nothing, seriously..nothing! Well ok, maybe a good Hunter, but it's still 50/50 here. The rest of the classes I just bleed, hop into bear, /dance and wait till they die.

Improved Counterspell + instant casts of their own so I can't much try to interrupt them = free ticket to the spirit healer.

I won't even get into the things that rogues can do, but it's also been a while since I've met one willing to fight 1 on 1 instead of running away when I'm actually pvp spec, so /meh

Pve geared ret paladins on my rogue. make one mistake and they pretty much instantly kill you. but they are also easier to kill then pvp geared ones since they have no res.

Fake-cast your first Lavaburst, they ALWAYS silence that. Arcane Mages aren't that bad

Frost mages counter my ret pretty easily, I feel like a rag-doll to an extent. As for my warlock, rogues take the cake; very difficult to handle and you rarely get the jump on them.

Well, it depends what your interpretation of "counter" is. For my rogue, I would say mage. They have a lot of CC and escape abilities, as do I, so the 1v1 battles can swing either way and are really fun to play. If you mean which class is best at taking me out? Prot pally hands down.

If its 1v1? just stun lock the dk if he got no rune power he cant pop ibf, also you could pop evasion if hes got a ghoul out and dodge its stun

im only basing this off BG's as i play on a pve server and i dont do arena.

Im a rogue, the class that i really really struggle against (i dont think i have ever beaten one actually) is paladins. Any kind, with ret probably being the toughest.

I also struggle against DK's warriors and Feral (bear) druids. I can occasionaly beat these, but it is rare.

On the flipside, i find mages the easiest to kill, i think ive died once or twice since ive been playing in bg's from a mage, they are just so squishy and interupptable.

Close though are warlocks/priests, moonkin/resto druids and shammys.

Hunters and other rogues can range from easy to difficult.



EDIT: just realised this was posted in the arena section. I have no experience in arenas (i would love to give it a go if only you didnt have to form a commited team) but ill leave the rest of my post as is it and people can take it with a pinch of salt

I put rogue because I play a moonkin. I'm not sure I'd put that if I played primarily resto, but I figured rogue would get a lot of votes and wanted to add one more.

On my mage; rogues and destrolocks. Rogues for their eternal combo of burst and cc and destrolocks for pretty much the same.

Yeah a lock that gets the opportunity to open up on me can be pretty ugly. Usually we go for locks first though. So it doesn't happen that way as much as it does with rogues.

Paladin,I roll with a my resto druid and my dk tank,I can never kill a paladin unless it is a really unskilled one on my dk.No matter how I try,I get them down,bubble and heal,and even after that they just heal when needed,I do not have the burst to bring them down.It might be a factor that I am not dps but you think they go oom soon so they can not heal..........nope somehow get mana back.
