They have to let trolls be druids because worgen will be druids and you have to have even number on each faction.

Makes sense, that coming from a night elf druid. Trolls have been known that they can shapeshift in an hybird of Troll-animal of the gods they worship. Hell Zul'jin could transform in 4 of them.
Besides, Druidism has never really been about shapeshifting, more about nature magic and asking the forced of nature to protect them.
Dwarf Shaman makes perfect sense, i hope they give some sort of special wildhammer dwarf skins for them.
Tauren paladin and priest is a bit trickier, but it still works. There are 'cults' of dwarf holy magic users that follow the Titans. Taurens have been known to worship Titans (First runemasters were Taurens, they teached the dwarfs), this could be the same thing and the Dwarfs teaching them how to use Holy Magic, similiar how dwarfs got teached by the taurens in runemastery.
Gnome priests? not impossible. Gnomes might have shown interests in the Light while living in the Dwarven Capital, Ironforge.
Then the rest of the class/race combination are quite possible, but Dwarf Mage i found really odd. Because there is no real known Dwarf that ever has shown interest in the Arcane, altho there are dwarf elementalists and geomancers, but those are more like shamans imo.
And there is a possibility that Worgen are gonna be druids, due their ties with elune. So for the sake of keeping the balance between the factions, they are just giving druids to the race on the horde that is most likely to even master druidism. That would be Trolls, because orcs, undeads and blood elves do not have any ties with druidism (nature magic).
I don't know if you guys haven't noticed, but Trolls are pretty used to shapeshifting. I mean, Zul'gurub, Zul'aman, our Loa are mainly ANIMALS. It's not that farfetched.
You thought you could get away with that before someone saw it?Originally Posted by Kitore

A possibility for gnomes priests could be that when they reclaimed gnomergan they found a settlement of survivors that survived because the Light protected them?
Gnomes should be given paladin as a class instead of priest... that way all blizz needs to do to add some gnomey touch to the class is to rename a few spells. Holy flash-light for example... and maybe even the epic bacon of light
Dwarf mages do make sense. Just think of the Dark Iron Dwarfs.
There is still the unborn child inside the princess in blackrock deeps. So probably a truce between the dwarven factions?
Those are elementalists, which is more similar to shamanism. Mages are more about arcane magic.Originally Posted by Xantis

You must remain drunk in order to be more vigilant against reality.
to prove my point:
"Dark Iron dwarves are also well versed in arcane magic, more so than any other dwarven race. Due to untold years of living next to molten lava and fire, the Dark Iron clan developed a strong link to fl ames and fire magic. Fire-aligned elementalists battle alongside elite marksmen and stealthy skulkers, raining death on Blackrock Depths’ enemies. Battles against Dark Iron dwarves are often hellish, taxing both sides as the Dark Iron elementalists grow overzealous. "

and elementalists being more like shamans, what do you call fire or frost specced mages?
In the original bata of classic wow, there were Dwarf Mages. Just so you know. They took them out so that both sides could have an even number of which class could be what.
When people say "pls" just because its shorter then "please", I feel totally justified to say "No" just because its shorter then "Yes".
dwarf shamans are fine as are dwarf mages.Originally Posted by Xantis

"They(wildhammer clan) are a story-loving culture; the shaman and priests of the Wildhammer dwarves entertain the people on cold nights with tales of past battles, instructions on gryphon handling, and myths of nature and the Earth Mother."
"Wildhammer dwarves have close ties to nature. Many are shamans, and some are druids. A few Wildhammers revere the Holy Light, but the faith demands too much organization and philosophy for the comfort of most. Some Wildhammer dwarves in Kalimdor have also been studying with the night elves to learn more about Elune, the moon goddess"
Dwarf mages would be about like undead druids or gnome warriors.... wait.....

Lets see the Class balance between factions in the new exp if these are true:
Allaince - Horde
Deathknight: 5 - 5
Druid: 1 - 2
Hunter: 4 - 5
Mage: 5 - 4
Paladin: 3 - 2 - > Balanced by amount of shamans on horde
Shaman: 2 - 3 - > Balanced by amount of paladins on alliance
Priest: 5 - 4
Warlock: 2 - 3
Warrior: 5 - 5
Rogue: 4 - 4
Soo from this we can predict the classes of the new races:
Worgen(Alliance): Druid, Hunter, Warlock (and prolly warrior and Death Knight, rogue)
Goblin (Horde): Mage, priest (and warrior and DK, rogue)
That would balance the classes between factions to:
Allaince - Horde
Deathknight: 6 - 6
Druid: 2 - 2
Hunter: 5 - 5
Mage: 5 - 5
Paladin: 3 - 2 - > Balanced by amount of shamans on horde
Shaman: 2 - 3 - > Balanced by amount of paladins on alliance
Priest: 5 - 5
Warlock: 3 - 3
Warrior: 6 - 6
Rogue: 5 - 5
Well, you got me there on the Dwarf mage, true, i missed that. Well mages just 'force' the fire and frost magic. Shamans need to ask permission to use it.
My class explanations.
Troll Druid: Trolls have all ways been close to nature, but I can't think of anything Druid lore-wise.
Tauren Paladin/Priesthttp://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/...colleagues.jpg) Apparently something about "Sun Druids" and getting their "Light" from the sun.
Human Hunter: It makes sense.
Night Elf Magehttp://www.wowwiki.com/Highborne)(http://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/...highbornes.jpg) Highborn Night Elves were the 1st mages.
Blood Elf Warrior: They exist, they just weren't implemented as a playable class.
Dwarf Shamanhttp://www.wowwiki.com/Shaman_races#...dwarven_shaman) They exist, they just weren't implemented as a playable class.
Undead Hunterhttp://www.worldofwarcraft.com/commu...allery.html#41) No comment.
Orc Mage: ?
Dwarf Mage: ?
Gnome Priest: ?
I plan on making a thread on me speculating how Blizz could make this all work. I will paste a link here when and if I make it.
"Horde, quit whining about Blood Elves. You say we are girly and yet it is you who are whining like 16 yr old girls that are not getting their way."
I think it is just to balance out the amount of class/race combination between racesOriginally Posted by Thorzon157
