    OOM!!!!

I see a lot of posts complaining about chain pulling tanks. Plenty of replies stating how they never slow down for OOM's. As an off tank in my, I need to run a quick dungeon for my 2 frost badges and move on to either a raid or get to rl, my goal as a tank is to move through a dungeon as quickly as possible. If the healer is at 35% or higher in mana there is nothing in a trash pull that will wipe a heroic dungeon. You don't need 100% mana to heal someone, you do need some intelligence to know how to play your class.

As a tank I am in no way concerned if the dps in my group needs mana. As a warlock or mage or priest if you need mana, sit immediately after the final mob of this pull dies and drink up. If you're a druid and even consider complaining about mana reroll. But don't ask me to slow down on trash.

Please stop complaining about a tank chain pulling. When 30% of the time you have to sit through a heroic where the tank marks every mob, waits to ensure the hunter's pet is happy, checks thottbot for which mob he should focus his aggro on, does a ready check or any of the other things that crappy tanks do.

Granted there are times that a tank has no clue what he is doing and pulls a group and a pat is making it's way around and he doesn't see it because he doesn't know what he's doing. That's just a crappy tank, hope next time you get a different one. Blizzard has provided a wonderful tool where if you don't like someone you grouped with you never have to group with them again. I will never block a tank though because doing so lowers my queue time when I roll dps and I know that if the tank fails I can switch specs and take over the roll.

So in conclusion stop your bitching and enjoy the 20 min heroic.

I don't complain about low mana. If you're too fast and it's annoying me I will simply let you die. So you either learn to play at my pace or get best friends with the repairguy.

    Re: OOM!!!!

Pull too fast and they bitch. Pull too slow and they bitch. No wonder none of you can find tanks any more - we're sick of your whinging every time we pull a mob.

(And I've been tanking since vanilla WoW, so this is not just some random moron who started playing in the Wrath of the AOE Fest throwing an opinion out.)

If you don't want to read a wall of text leave forums.

I am feral and have no issues throwing my innervate on anyone who requires it. So don't act like I'm anticasters. I have had plenty of healers keep my crap tank set alive when they could have let us wipe. But don't act like you need full mana to heal a trash pull.

I chain pull everything and I rarely see healers go below 80%... I rate dungeon speed on the healers mana bar going down lul.
Quite often, the difference between an idiot and a genius is simply a matter of success rate.

There is no reason to go slow in a heroic that was tuned for people in blue gear when Tier 9 gear comes from badges.

There may not be any particular reason to go slow, *but* the attitudes of some of tanks need work. I play all three roles (rogue-DPS and Druid-tank/healer), and I've seen it from all three perspectives. As a tank, I *can* pull fast. I don't have awesome-fantastic gear, but it's mostly ilvl 226-232 and it's way overkill for all but the 3 new heroics. if I've got a newbie healer though, I slow down. If someone asks from a minute to take care of something I stop. I'm not going to hang around for an hour waitng for you to wash your dog, but I can wait for a bio or a quick relog.

As a DPS, sadly, I'm pretty much at the tank's mercy. Rogues being pure DPS, I can't get a second spec or do much of anything else to speed up my 15 to 20 minute wait times, so I put up with whatever I have to finish the instance. I had to do half of one instance with essentially no UI, because the tank wouldn't stop so I could relog. My DPS sucked, but apparently other people having fun is not as important as finishing in 14 minutes instead of 14 minutes 30 seconds (we probably lost the 30 seconds a relog would have taken to my shitty DPS, but whatever).

As a healer though, F-U. As a healer/tank dual spec, I'll have a new group instantly if I leave because you pissed me off. If I need to stop, I'll tell you twice... keep pulling and you can do it on your own. I imagine that after a pull or two (maybe three if you're uber) you'll notice. I only wish that I could act the same way on my DPS, but sadly reality is as reality does, and unless I want to spend all my time in queues I can't. Not all tanks are asses of course (I try to make a point not to be), but there's a few out there who seem to have the OP's "I'm the tank and I'll do what I want" primadonna complex.

good thing then i have 43k hp and barely need any heals in heroics anyway.

if you have mana issues in heroics then you are a fail healer ne ways

    Re: OOM!!!!

Heroics aren't just for Frosts, they're also for gearing up to raid.

Even if you're getting Emblem gear, you're not going into a Heroic with full epics the first time.

I'm so sick of this "Heroics are just for Emblems huuuurrrrr" attitude. They're there to get players geared up, whether by drops or Emblems, so stop treating everyone in them like they're all in full T9 and 245's. That's not always the case, and if you get killed because you can't realize that, it's your own fucking fault.

    Here's the deal:

    I am a Pally tank.

It is my job to get and keep aggro so the rest of the party doesn't get smeared.

I'm sick to death of every fucktard bitching at me to go faster or slower or yelling "Gogogogo" at me in party.

I'm the tank, bitch, and I'll go whatever goddamn speed keeps the group alive, because THAT'S MY FUCKING JOB. If the healer's a new 80 having mana issues, you're gonna have a slow run. Suck it up or drop out, but if you bitch at me about it, bet your ass I have no issues dumping group, since I can get another in a heartbeat.

If you think you're gonna set the pace, think again You can MD or Tricks to me and pull.

    I can bubble.

Also, go ahead and be an asshat. I have tons of gold that I have no problem spending on repairs if it makes you miserable.

Ever seen how fast a group lasts when the Pally tank DI's the healer with no warning?

    That shit's fucking FUNNY.

Have you ever seen a rogue try to evasion tank The Black Knight in phase 2? HILARITY!

So go ahead, scream at the tanks. Don't forget, every class can DPS, and the more tanks that get sick of the bitching and respec, the harder you're gonna have it.

    OOM = Out of Meatballs.
    Solution: Go get some.
I usually let people start to drink and then pull another wave.
By the time they're done drinking, I have lots of aggro.
Are you a tank complaining about insta ques and the fact that you have to wait for deeps to drink?
    silly

    Re: OOM!!!!

My complaint has everything to do with casters crying about being oom all the time. You do not need full mana to be of any use. anything over 35% and you should be good for a trash pull. I am not saying I just kamakazie into a boss fight, but asking a tank to slow down when you are at 75% mana is ridiculous.
