Today I was doing my daily and carrying 2 dps under the tank through POS, over 60% of the damage done beign by me (not a boast at all, just said to provide info on how bad the other 2 dps were doing), so I told the people i was taking a break until the other dps caught up to me because i didnt feel like carrying idiots through a herioc.
I was then told that I should continue to dps because Arcane is the easiest spec to play in the game and I was wasting their time by not dpsing. I was like ......ok?
So my question is, if the Arcane spec is so ungodly easy, why does almost every mage you meet suck at it, yet they still insist that it is so easy.
Also, in retrospect, Compare arcane to other rotations:
Elemental Shaman:
LB
FS (Only used this as they are both hardly ever used after 4pc t10)
LvB
People still suck at playing elemental, what gives?
Mutilate rogues:
Slice and dice, hunger
Mut
Envenom
People still suck at rogues.
Fury Warrior
Use HS as filler.
BT
WW
Slam
People still suck at warriors.

My point:
There are only a very few "HARD" rotations out there, most rotations consist of 2-3 buttons with the occassional odd button in there.
My question:
How come Arcane has taken the rap for it so bad, yet is consistently one of the specs where you see players that couldn't dps thier way out of a paper bag using arcane?
My Theory:
Arcane is all Direct Damage with absolutely no DOT type effect, making DPS for arcane LOOK unusually high and people ignore the fact that some classes will beat Arcane mages on Damage Done with lower overall dps and thus channel their rage by calling Mages out on how easy their rotation is.
