    Warlock Green Fire!

I finally put the finishing touches on my new spell replacer patch, Fel Fire! Warlocks have always wanted Green Fire ever since we saw the first Fel fire spells in burning crusade. Countless patches have been made, then abandoned, then to be resurrected again only to be horrible and completely outrageous. I wanted something simple, something that just turned my fire green, nothing else. Not a bunch of random spell replacements that had countless spell incompatibilities. On top of that I also wanted a patch that would change my icons to the Fel fire equivalent, which none of them did. Sadly no one ever took the time to work a patch out like this, even though it might be the most sought after patch ever. Well, that all changes here…

New Update: v1.3: Changed Immolation Aura (Metamorphosis) to Fel Immolation Aura. Less spells correspond with Mage spells. (Just Flamestrike left I think) Almost ready for a final release. Fixed a small graphical glitch with the Dreadsteed. Permanently hosting the file on sharecash.org (You may request the file directly by sending me an email at Felfireblog@Gmail.com)

Hosting a new fan video of the patch in action over on the patch page Thanks Deyman123 http://felfire.com/other/offical-fel-fire-patch/

even if if i would trust you i'd say it's against blizz' rules. since your changing the game files right?
and even it works only you can see it since it clientsided.

even says on the site in red
    Disclaimer:
Patches like these are against Blizzard’s terms of use contract. You can be banned, however I have used these kinds of patches for 5 years and I have yet to receive even a warning. Use at your own discretion.

Scanned it on Virus Total, included a link. Thanks for bringing this up hehe, I'm too much of a nice guy to realize people might suspect me.

    Re: Warlock Green Fire!

adding files to the warcraft folder is permitted. (you add the files which are grabbed by the game. as you see here the author adds mpq file to the data folder)
replacing the existing files inside mpq is prohibited (you replace the wsg flag for the ragnaros model to see where the flag is)

it's totally fine. use it and enjoy.

The green fire really looks very wicked. Now if Blizzard could do such similar thing it would be rocking!

But indeed use it at your own risk. Your own responsibility.

Blizzard should just hurry up and give us green fire anyway

    Re: Warlock Green Fire!

if blizz actually sees this, they might ban you for even visiting the page, hence discretion. but.. they might actually take it on board which will be pretty cool.

It is against the ToS and as such is a bannable offense HOWEVER Blizz does seem to be slightly lenient on the type of modification being made. Model edits such as: changing Shadow's Edge to Corrupted Ashbringer or potentially changing the color of certain spells would be a little iffy to Blizz as it's more cosmetic than actual exploiting(making mining nodes larger than normal).

    Re: Warlock Green Fire!

Had a friend get banned for changing a Blood Elf's eyes to blue, just for RP reasons.

It makes me a little sad, really. I was hoping to be running the Druids of Azeroth one as well as the High Elf patch.

    Re: Warlock Green Fire!

I have been using different model edits for more than 3 years now, and so has three of my IRL friends, without getting a warning/ban or anything. From what I've heard blizzard can't catch you if you're doing this since you're only changing a small gamefile for yourself. I've even heard some1 who talked to a GM about it, and the GM said that you can't get banned for it.

It is because of this that I believe Blizzard should rework Azeroth for Waffles.

    Re: Warlock Green Fire!

only other problem id see with this self adjustment is if blizz were to change the script for warlocks and this 'patch' were to interfere with it somehow, can u just take it out or would you have to re-install?
