With the online store don't you guys think Blizzard is making it unfair for people that that dont have money to get nice things?

Blizzard has said Mounts and Pets are not going to boost any stats or anything but the better things they make you have to pay for.IMO people should have an equal opportunity to get things.

Who wouldn't Love to Get The Celestial Mount.
Next thing you'll know is that Blizzard is going to amazing Mounts,Pet most likly costums etc... which the normal game doesn't have.

You do have an equal opportunity to get it, you can make 25$ off of tips on a very slow night as a waiter/waitress. It's not something you need to play the game so there is nothing wrong with it IMO.

So anything you have to pay for is then unfair to those that don't have the money? Its just the way it is that those with disposable income will be able to buy some things that others can't. The point being that this is not a game changing item. It is not necessary to have. Its a pretty thing. Thats all. Some people can't afford Coach purses. That doesn't mean its unfair to everyone else.

I think they should give out Mimiron's Head for free, as it is the coolest mount in game, yet, only a small percentage of people have the chance to even get it (damn nolifers farming yogg0, you... you...!).

To be blunt about it, welcome to life. I'd love to have a fancy car, but I don't have one. If I wanted it bad enough, I would put money aside until one day I would have enough to buy that fancy car. Instead I drive a Chrysler Sebring. Not fancy, but it gets me where I'm going and runs just fine. If you want the steed bad enough and can't afford it now, put a dollar or two aside every week for it.

Huh? They're making it free but you pay for it? WoW isn't - and hasn't ever been - free. Nor will it ever be free - that's simply not the kind of business model they have in place for this game, and to change it now with as many subscribers as they have would be foolhardy. Offering vanity items for additional money doesn't change that model. Rage against the 'blind corporate monster' all you want, but kudos to their marketing and sales departments for coming up with creative means to produce additional revenue while at the same time giving players something cool that they enjoy.

Not that I agree with him, but I think what he's jabbing at is that free MMOs have an item mall where you can buy things to deck out your character.

The reason I don't agree with him is because the free-MMO item malls are designed specifically that you more or less need it if you don't want to be driven insane by the game. Taking Requiem for example, you can buy stat boosts and armor and EXP boosts from its item mall. And for WoW, it's just... vanity items. A few pets and a mount. The mount isn't even statistically special, it just looks cool. It's not like they're selling a 310% mount.

People just see "Hey, we put a couple of vanity items on the Blizz Store if you guys are interested" and go "NEXT THING WE KNOW THEY'LL BE SELLING EPIC GEAR, OMG WTF."

I'm going to transfer to your server and make raids where only people with the mount (and over 6k GS of course) get in. I will also give out free gold to people that have the mount. Just because of noobs like this. You are paying $15 a month to play the game, and this item is not needed. Even though blizzard doesn't admit it, these pets and this mount ARE cooler than most. If you can afford $15 a month to play a game you can pay for this crap.
