    "Ideal" 10man *CLASS* Raid

You're going to do a 10man, a serious one. Maybe it's ToGC, or ICC, or ICC hardmodes, or Ulduar hardmodes, or whatever. But you want to maximize your group's potential.

    Here's the twist, hypothetically:

You have to bring every class; 1 of each.
You have to have 2 tanks and 3 healers; 1 of the healers you choose will be allowed to bring a dps offspec, but no one else.

    What would you bring?

    Re: "Ideal" 10man Raid

    Holy Palla
    Resto Druid
    Resto Shaman

    Tanking DK
    Prot Warrior

    Shadow Priest
    Assasionation Rogue
    MM Hunter
    Demo Lock
    Fire Mage

    This was how I thought:
Imo holy palla and resto druid are the beast healers for 10 man so I want to bring those.,
then I need a third healer and since I only have shaman and priest left I would have to go with shaman since I need the priest to be shadow for the 3% spell hit.

The only classes that can tank now is warrior and DK so thats a no-brainer.
And then its just 4 pure dps classes and a shadowpriest.

I´m not sure this is the ideal group but its at least a group I would enjoy raiding with, it got my favorite class/specc combinations in it :P

And got most of the raidbuffs.

    Tanks

    Warrior

Disc Priest with a holy offspec for certain fights
    Holy Pally
    Resto Shammy (ele offspec)

Think you missed "You have to bring every class; 1 of each." :P

    Re: "Ideal" 10man Raid

I see a lot of raid comps here with both rogues and MM hunters, yet the same raid comps don't have a feral druid bleed debuff. Would be good to take note of that.

why is bear so good? I mean they can ONLY dodge, and Chill of the Throne 'gives' -20% dodge...

Why does everyone put the only battle rezzer as the tank?

    Re: "Ideal" 10man Raid

    RaidComp Loadout

    Tanks:
    Warrior
    Blood DK

    Healers:
    Disc Priest
    Resto Shaman
    Holy Paladin

    DPS:
    Arcane Mage
    Demonology Warlock
    Combat Rogue
    Survival Hunter
    Balance Druid

Some simple decisions: The four pure dps classes will take four dps slots. I discard Frost, Beast Mastery, and Subtlety out of hand; I select Demonology (for Demonic Pact - large spell power boost and Improved Shadow Bolt - 5% spell crit), Combat (for Savage Combat - 4% physical damage), and Arcane (Arcane Empowerment - 3% damage). A Survival Hunter brings Replenishment.

The last DPS slot should either go to a Boomkin or Shadow Priest. Since we already have Replenishment and Boomkins bring a huge package of buffs, Boomkin makes five.

After that it was just filling in blanks; since the dps slots were taken, a Resto Shaman pops out naturally, and a Disc Priest is taken over a Holy Priest for Renewed Hope.

I'm not saying bear is the best tank right now or anything, just froze my account so I´m not really up to date, but the -20% dodge effects all tank equally (yes all tanks have more then 20% dodge in ICC) so it not a bigger disadvantage for them.
In fact its an advantage for druid tanks since they relay less on avoidance then other tanks and more on raw HP and Armour, so when avoidance gets nerfed and all tanks have to take a few more hits the druid tanks will take those hits better then the other tanks.

I feel that you play a warrior as dps, and needed to tell everyone just how good your class is?
