Thrall/Cairne and Deathwing Human Form Pictures

I know it's nothing new but I worked a bit on clearing the Thrall/Cairne picture from BlizzCon as well as the wall painting of Deathwing's human form from the ScrollsofLore visit to Blizzard HQ. Nothing earthshattering, just thought I'd share these with the peoples of the internetz.

Isn't the point of a human form that people don't know who you are? He looks like the badguy from Evil Dead 3 with an iron on his face, I don't think we can expect much manipulation from him.

It is beyond me why Cairne has never had his halberd/runespear in game, when in
every single artwork (and in this most recent one) he is shown with it.

For the Thrall picture I removed the motion blur, sharpened the image and worked on restoring the colors. Also removed the 2 developer heads.

For the Deathwing picture I took the wall picture that was at an angle and manipulated it to appear as it would look face on. I know someone had done this before but I managed to save more of the picture's edges and got the color closer to the original.

The Alexstraza and Deathwing Human forms are actually fold out ends of the cover of wow mag issue #2 -- the actual cover image is the wallpaper which was released already, but that had the human forms cut off. It even comes with a smaller version as a removable poster in the centre of the mag, which i've put on my wall. The reverse of the poster has the original pencil sketch of the image too.

My point is that the image is likely to be scanned up in better quality soon enough.

Y that's kind of weird. Deathwing was all "SO BAD THAT IT TEARS HIMSELF APART" melty and lava-y ever since the 1st invasion of the Burning Legion 10000 years ago, yet when he transformed himself to Daval Prestor he was perfectly human... now he is all "Freddy's ugly cousin".

Maybe there's something inherently magical to getting your ass kicked by four Aspects, that makes the evidence show at whatever form you take.

What worked with Sauron can work with Deathwing I guess.

They did say his power has increased dramatically since Day of the Dragon due to increased Old God influence on the world, so maybe that extra power has caused his human form guise to become not just warped, but Holy WTF warped. Better suited to resemble his true form. :-\
