New Hero Class Suggestion: Dragonsworn

[Neltharion the Black]

NOTE: This is what happens when the Realms are down.

New Hero Class: Dragonsworn

Uses medium armor (Mail) and shields.
Uses Mana as resource.
Can Tank, Heal and DPS.
Talent Trees: Ruby (Healing), Amber (DPS) and Obsidian (Tank)

The Dragonsworn starts at Level 55 during a quest chain where they swear allegiance to a dragon and proceeds to Level 60.

Sample attacks:

Draconic Allegiance - Passive
Your Dragon's color is affected by your Specialization. (Your starting mount, which is a Dragon, is either Black, Red, Bronze or Spectral, depending on which specialization you've chosen.)


Ruby Talents
Top-Tree Talent for Ruby: Life-Binder's Blaze - Calls down a healing fire upon the battlefield that heals every party or raid member within it's Area of Effect. (This heal works like Death and Decay and other AoE attacks like that. The AoE stays for 20 seconds.)

Obsidian Talents
Obsidian Armor - Increases armor contribution from items by 30%. (30% is for all ranks) Most of your offensive Obsidian abillities has a chance (20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%, depending on rank of OA) to grant Obsidian Armor, which increases threat generated and also increases armor by 25% of all healing received.

Obsidian Dragonspawn - Consumes an Obsidian Armor buff on the caster to summon an Obsidian Dragonspawn to aid the Dragonsworn in battle. The Obsidian Dragonspawn has 200% of the Dragonsworns armor and generates a high amount of threat. Lasts for 30 seconds.

Cataclysmic Swing - AoE Melee attack that generates high amount of threat. Grants Obsidian Armor.

Amber Talents
Top-Tree Talent for Amber: Time Stop - Time-Freezes all enemies within a specific range (including raid bosses). 30 minutes CD. Gives all party and raid members the Debuff Time Corruption for 10 minutes which prevents other Amber Speced Dragonsworns to use Time Stop.

Don't like the idea. If Blizzard makes any new classes they need to be started at Level 1 again.

I could actually see Dragonsworn being a Herioc class once the Emerald Dream expansion rolls around, but I'm not sure if it will be as you describe.

new class idea but no i dont like it either, sounds like a plate wearing class more than a mail wearing class also i can see it with a tank spec probibly but this type of class is defenitly a plate class. also i see it more of a melee/pysical ranged type class. also...wow could do without another plate class...imo DKs were too much.

This ideas is actual viable...

Dragonsworn are apparently in one of the rpg versions I believe.

However, instead of the black dragonflight being part of it...I could foresee more of a Blue/Green/Bronze utilization.

Blue would be headed up by whoever is now in charge of the blue flight, and focus primarily on magic/frost dmg

Green would be headed up by Ysera, and focus on healing

Bronze would be headed by Nozdormu (or the next ranking, since nozdormu is supposedly going crazy) and focus on being support with buffs...perhaps even a meleer who alters time to speed up his own attacks.


This could also help introduce a race known as the asaathi, who are lizard people and in the Warcraft Universe but not necessarily WoW yet.


However, Pandaren/Ogre brewmaster will come first :3
