Clothing: Wears a blindfold. He is always shirtless with two Green wavy lines that go down his chest, glowing. Wears Leather pants enchanted with Demonic power.
Fighting Style: He has the power to use magic that is very effective against Demons but still usable against non-demonic entities. Very skilled with his Warglaives. Ability to use basic Rogue skills such as stealth.
Personality: Is very angry but smart about it and will do anything that may benefit himself. Very strong will. Will fight someone he knows he can beat that gives him any kind of look.
Home: Lived in Gnomeregan until 27, and now is a nomad.

Bio: When Silus was growing up, he was mistreated by his drunken father all the time. His father wanted him to be a Warrior but he was too small to handle the training and he was enamored with the thought of magic but was unable to use it so he became a rogue. In his father's eyes, Silus had failed him even though he had become a very skilled Rogue. Silus became intrigued by the thought of a person who could deal damage with weapons and magic both at the same time when he heard of the infamous Illidan Stormrage. Silus started to get into trouble with the law later along in life and ended up in the Dalaran jail with none other than Kael'thas Sunstrider. He became good friends with the blood elf and when Lady Vashj came and busted him out of prison, Silus accompanied him out. Eventually, the party met Illidan himself. Through his involvement with Illidan, he learned the basics of the Demon Hunter. His learning was only given by example from Illidan, Illidan had no idea he was being watched so intensely. Although he was not chosen to become a Demon Hunter, after the extreme training pressed upon the ones chosen, he asked if he could be among the next batch to be given a chance. When SIlus was accepted into the training, he had already learned the basics and became a natural. The trials were very taxing and out of sheer will, he succeeded in becoming the first Gnome Demon Hunter. Illidan taught him the spell to be used to obtain his new sight and Silus accepted the sacrifice he had to make to take down the Burning Legion he had grown to hate so much while in Outland. Silus headed back to Gnomeregan to get revenge against his father for mistreating him in childhood and incapacitated him. While his father was laying on the floor of their old home, an inch from death, Silus cut out his eyes and made his father watch. He then used the spell given by his teacher to create his new 'Fel Eyes' and tied a blindfold around his head where his eyes had been. Silus then claimed justice for everything his father had done. Now, Silus travels the world, killing Demons wherever he spots them.

1 you are a 28 year old ?gnome? that went to BT when he was younger survived a massive wipe somehow got friendly with illidan since he did not kill you at sight just walked out of BT into shat became demon hunter (in a short period cos illidan was still weak) killed Illidan went home cut out your eyes because u want to punish ur dad(logic i know) and now your on a demon killing spree.

1, im not trolling. I explained why Illidan didn't kill me. I was a rogue, went to Shattrath and where the teacher that Illidan mentioned was located. There was nothing left in BT, we cleared it to Illidan. So yes, you are correct.

As far as I know, disregarding the random heroes in WC3, Illidan is the only demon hunter in existence. In addition, the "Fel Eyes" as you call them were given to Illidan by Sargeras and were actually beneficial. It's not much of a punishment.

I'm also incapable of discerning what race Silus belongs to; Is he meant to be a gnome? I assume that from the Gnomeregan part of his biography, but I'm not sure.

The appearance is basically a carbon-copy of Illidan, except in gnome form. No true rogue would seriously go around with his chest unprotected, Warglaives or not.

Come on, killing Illidan because he was "weak from the battle"? You were doing the same things you did during the rest of the battle. Remember, this is the guy that tricked the entire Night Elf population into thinking he had sided with the Burning Legion. The guy who coined "You are not prepared!". Him getting stunlocked to death by a gnome seems incredibly unlikely.

Illidan may be a good character; that doesn't mean you can rip him off as you want. You're not cool.

Generally, Umbra, we somewhat frown upon people giving advice if they haven't become a roleplayer yet. There's a certain seinority that's required, and one needs to know our standards on character bios.

As well, keep it clean. I can see a LOT of roughness in your critique. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

Although I do agree. If you want to be a demon hunter, there's many more lore-appropriate ways to do it. For example, there are several fully-trained blood elven (and one or two night elven) demon hunters under the service of Illidan (one's a boss in SSC), and many more that are training. You could be one of them.

As well, we are roleplayers. We focus on things that are possible in lore, not in game.

Evasion tanking, stunlocking, chain-fearing, or any other form of continuous avoidance/croud control is considered godmoding.

if u read wowwiki (dunno source value) it says if u want to become a demon hunter you must find a other demon hunter to train you. The training exists of capturing a demon and sacrificing it also you have to cut out your eyes with a magic sword wich i supose the warglaves are. but the training is long enough time for illidan to regenerate and avoid getting stunlocked by a "inster race here" rogue.

Illidan isn't the only demon hunter. he just was the first. There is a bunch of demon hunter NPCs in game.

According to wowwiki, Demon Hunters ritually blind themselves, in order to develop a magical sight, allowing them to see demons and magical energies clearly.

now, on topic:

Illidan wouldn't be impressed, 'cos
a) he is (was) insane
b) he already has (had) a whole lot of apprentices in Black Temple
c) no gnome would survive Illidan's lessons without intense training before.
For intance, from 5 fines blood elf warriors, sent by Kael to Illidan to be trained as demon hunters, 3 died, one went mad and only one suceeded. And these were blood elves, with innate talent for magic and centuries of combat training.

Also, lore-wise there was no wipes at Illidan. Akama led the charge and the "adventurers" weakened the Betrayer, but in vain, for he has bound them with his magic. Then Maiev arrived and aided the adventurers in slaying the half-demon. Illidan was finished off by Maiev herself, not some run-off-the-mill rogue. That's lore and canon.

High elf demon hunter trainer is a nonsense for these reasons:
1) High Elf Scryer is hardly possible
2) High Elf demon hunter is hardly possible, for Demon Hunters meddle with demonic magic, something High Elves detest
3) Demon Hunter trainers, affilated with Illidan reside in Black Temple. They are Night Elves btw.

Also, training in the ways of a Demon Hunter would require decades and your eyes would be cut in the process. Your whole bio is a nonsense and I deem you a troll.


EDIT: regarding evasion tanking: do you really think, that lore-wise, a young rogue would manage to avoid a single strike of a powerful half-demon, armed with weapons of incredible power, who trained to use them for ten thousands years? LOL.

You are ripping off Illidan. Your appearance is nigh-identical, bar the race.

I have seen Evasion-tanking; that however is strictly a game mechanic and makes little sense when applied to a non-statistics based setting such as a roleplay. Have you ever read a novel before? Does consistently avoiding all incoming attacks just because you've had training make sense to you anywhere?

I admit to being wrong about Illidan not being the only demon hunter in existence, but he is by far the most powerful one. Him recommending another one to teach you would make little sense. There is nothing Varedis can teach you that Illidan cannot. The "Fel Eyes" point still stands. It was granted to him by Sargeras.

The eyes are actually created by a spell... In the ritual where demon hunters gain their power, the spell would most likely be part of the ritual's spell matrix.

You could have joined up with Illidan after Archimonde's death. You could've come with Jaina to Hyjal, and then went and sided with Illidan.

When Archimonde attacked Mount Hyjal, Silus was there and he helped weaken the Eredar to a point where he could be defeated by the wisps.

The portion of the history which is in quotes is somewhat overpowered, even though it technically happened in the caverns of time. Because this area has the paradoxyness of time travel, I would suggest just getting rid of that part.

Illidan also did not really go around looking for people who wanted to join his army. He awakened the Naga, who he then became the master of (probably with the blessing of Azshara), and because of several events, the Blood Elves under Kael'Thas joined him as well. I would think that your gnome joining him would be much more lore-correct if he went to join Illidan, when he was in the Outlands.

Vashj helped Kael'thas escape from Garithos' prison; for whatever reason, you were imprisoned there as well. You are a rogue, after all. From there on, you join up with Illidan.
