Best and worst classes for noobs?

What's the best class for noobs and whats the worst class for noobs to pick as their first toon in your opinion?

Personally I think Paladins, Mages and Hunters are the best newbie classes. Paladin's are very hard to kill because they have high armor and healing powers making them very noob friendly, although they are a bit boring if its your first time playing. As of now they don't have any real attacks for a couple of levels. Mages are my second choice because they have probably the flashiest moves out of all the low levels which make then pretty appealing to newer players and they are self sustainable with the food and teleportation spells later on. But since they are squishy and can't heal they aren't my top choice. Hunters are my third choice because they are pretty sturdy and the idea of taming pets is very appealing. Problem is as of now they don't start with pets and those first 10 levels can be hell which is enough to convince any new players that this game is boring.

The worst noob class imo are Rogues. Rogues aren't sturdy, they can't kill stuff before they reach them like casters, and they can't heal. Their PvE rotation is pretty bland at low levels and in groups you can't really get your combo points higher than 2 or maybe 3 before the group kills the mob. Although they do have the most fun PvP (BGs) experience at lower levels imo, but you can't truly enjoy that till like level 18.

    Yer turn!

Best: Hunter. Really easy to play and understand.

    Worst: Priest.

Mages and hunter definitely aren't very noob friendly. Surprisingly few hunters that I know, know about and take advantage of the fact that auto shot timer rolls even when you move, basically allowing full dps while on the move apart from steady shot. Anyone can play a mage "decently", especially arcane. But being a really good fire or frost mage takes more than it does from most classes.

Warrior is by far the worst class for noobs. They require too much special interface enhancements, macros et cetera to be played to their full potential.

If you have a friend you're introducing to wow, I would recommend a paladin or a DK (they need level 55 duh).

    Edit: typos.

Could you be a bit more precise, please?

Are we talking classes for leveling, for Pve, for PVE End-Game, for PvP ...

    It does make a difference

I'm going to go from the cataclysm point of view (with a lot of new spells and abilities at low levels, certainly at level 10.)

Hunters will be the easiest by far with pets at level 1, no more mana nor ammunition.
Paladins seem to be the quite easy as well due to getting CS at level 1 and being naturally bulky.
Pretty much all other classes will do great as well, with a lot more abilities at low levels and an overall improved questing system.

But I do think mages aren't noob-friendly. The fact they go oom so often and are rather squishy at low levels makes them a bit of a bother.
And rogues will be far better with recuperate at level 12. Giving them some reliable hp regen.

I'm talking about leveling experience so I was thinking of Frost instead of Arcane. You can't even get touched and they mob is dead. Hunters are extremely appealing for new players. I remember I made one right after I made my main. I was so excited when I got tame pet and went to catch a rare pet. That kinda stuff really drags newer players in.

They upped mana and health regen for low levels. Ooming isn't a problem for noobs. I made a rogue actually a few days ago and the regen is astounding, the moment you end combat your back at full health in seconds.

When I first started playing I rolled a priest, who I leveled to 20 something. Then I rolled a warrior, which I leveled to 70. I can confirm, through personal experience, both of these classes are terrible to level as a new player.

    Edit:

Best classes are Paladin, Warlock, and Hunter.

I started as a hunter. Gives a good introduction to the game. Shows the player all the three roles of healing, dpsing and tanking with the use of their pets. Gave me a decent understanding at an early point in my WoW experience.

Probably Hunter...it's insanely easy to level and you never have to worry about having to heal other players [which, IMO, is the hardest thing to learn to do well].

Worst is probably Warrior [especially prot] and Druid [especially Kitty deeps].

Druids are also very "newbie" friendly I would say...the healing is very easy as well as tanking wise, never playing boomkin or cat though. Would also say really any pet class is easy via Warlock and/or Hunter. Least "newbie" friendly I would say would have to be Warrior/Rogue, both at early levels if you pulled more then 1 or 2 mobs you were going to die lol. Warrior moreso I would think though, as you have no get away type spell like vanish.

    Best- Hunter

    Worst- Hunter

My logic is that it is very easy to be a decent hunter, but not many are good hunters. Think about it.

To those saying locks are tough for morons, I knew a guy who pulled great DPS as a warlock, but was completely useless in raids, such as not stacking on festergut.

Hunter: if they get past level 10 without saying "screw this".

Worst: Resto druid. Though everyone these days is just using rollover macros and spamming rejuv. /rolleyes.

A class that doesn't die easily, and preferably has some self healing. For these two reasons, and along with the fact that there's an emergency button, I'm gonna' go with paladin.

However, not jumping on the "palas are easy lol" bandwagon, most of the time people use threads like these in an attempt to discredit classes they see as OP or are butthurt about, highly annoying.

Mages no, for sure. Squishy go splat-splat. But hunters are noob friendly. A noob doesn't need to worry about maximising dps at all, let alone auto-shot while moving. Hunters get a pet which can hold threat off you, especially at noobish levels of DPS, and are widely considered the best noob class with good reason.

For the worst, priests can be pretty squishy and low level priests often have mana issues and very poor dps when not played/specced properly.
Warriors also have a lot of down time, and rage is just an incredibly frustrating resource to DPS with at low levels.
Mages have very poor survivability without using snares and slows and other noob-unfriendly mechanics properly.
Druids can be confusing considering you can't really dps till you at least get cat but cat isn't really good till you get mangle, and the playstyle changes so dramatically from the early levels that it encourages noobs getting the wrong gear.
