The Old Horde: Corrupted orcs invading Azeroth in the First and Seconds Wars.
The New Horde: The Now Horde.
Basically the old Horde is what the horde was in Warcraft and Warcraft II. The orcs were under control of the burning legion and invaded Azeroth.
The new Horde however is the result of in part the orcs being freed from the blood frenzy and control of the legion (Thanks Thrall and Grom!). And the new collective of Races that are working to try and just carve out a place of their own in the world and protect themselves from aggresion. (Yes, there are some warmongers in the horde that wish to return to the old ways, but most just care about living their lives in the most noble and honorable way possible.
This signiture is brought to you by the letters F and U, and the number 2.
"I know your $14.99 entitles you to play the game your way, but the rest of the raid's $359.76 says know your role."
And now there's "The New Old Horde". In my opinion the New Hordes days are over, the New Hordes purpose was to unite a group of races suffering similarly to the orcs. They had small populations and so they ban together in an attempt to defend themselves so they can live in peace.
Now there's Garrosh's Horde.
I hope so.. the story has strayed too far into turning the Horde back into mindless monsters.. Remember the times when they weren't?
The Orcs were trying to rebuild their lives and find a home in the barrens.
The Tauren were also trying to rebuild after a long war with the Centaurs.
The Trolls.. also trying to find safety after being driven from their homes.
Even the Undead at one point had good motives.. they wanted to see the Lich king destroyed and the scourge defeated and then find a cure for their Undeath.
Somewhere Blizz decided they liked stupid orcs and evil undead.
To be fair Garrosh can't turn the horde back to the old ways simply because he is mag'har, he is probably doing what he grew up knowing in Nagrand so it would be the Old old horde (pre-corruption). Also Thrall's new horde was never about peace, it was about survival and being free from demonic control, if anyone would bring demonic corruption back to the horde it most certainly would NOT be Garrosh after years of being 'emo' at his old daddy drinking mannoroth's blood.
If Garrosh was all "RAWR KILL ALLIANCE!!!!!" then he would condone the use of the plague and val'kyr to boost his own forces, your arguments contradict. Face it, Garrosh is like Doomhammer and Grom. Blood elves are the ones who are evil with all their demon magic and selfish lifestyle.
By the way, I'm a dwarf 'fanboy' if anything.
I just don't like blood elves, they seem out of place in the Horde. They openly mock the Horde's way of life which they deem primitive and unsofisticated. Also they have burning fel crystals everywhere and (quoted from wowwiki) "This reliance on fel magic causes the eyes of blood elves to glow green with demonic fire" "Blood elves reek of fel power, offending the spiritual senses of night elves and tauren"
With the Sunwell back working properly the Blood Elves should start to return to what they once were. If we are talking about races being out of place in the Horde it would have to be the Forsaken, they can no longer claim that they are fighting for survival as they have set out on a conquest of death.
The Tauren, Trolls and even the Orcs havn't gotten that out of hand yet.
