Simple question which caster dps spec has the best survivability...
I think Spriest...cause you have a very reliable defensive CD with a short CD(disperse), also have off heals along with intense passive self heals along with a very reliable bubble.
Also have a move to counter any class in the game atm.

would also see the survivability from top to bottom, this is my list

He said DPS, and as of now, frost mage is not a viable DPS. I know in my raids, when the wipe hammer comes, I'm the last one standing 99% of the time, and I'm an Arcane Mage.

Why aren't DKs on this list? They are hybrid casters just like moonkin's, shadowpriests or ele shamans !

Are we talking PVE or PVP? If PVE, frost mage doesn't even deserve to be up there since it's still way behind arcane and fire in dps.
Arcane mages are very fragile in raiding from what I've seen.
Shadow Priest by far has the highest survivability in PVE

Frost Mage wins and discount one point from Spriest and move to Mage....

Frost Mages are decent in raid environment, I even do more damage in Frost then other mages with similar gear in Arcane/Fire
but in raid i think the guys with most Survivability are Warlocks, which heal themselves have protection VS shadow and in some cases pets take a % of the damage
in PvP frost mages win by far, those things never die...
as for discussing who can survive wipes its just useless... no point in thatwhat is a Healer saying:
AFK means: Attack, fight, kill! - Healer is bored with spamming hots.
WTF means: Way to fight! - Healer loves you for pulling with pyroblast.
OOM means: Out Of Mobs! - Healer needs a challenge.

If we're talking destro lock, I'd put them at the bottom perhaps...(and yes they are plenty viable raid dps) though I'd agree with their current position (3rd) as affliction or demo.

Not even close as most of their spells still require to be applied via melee. People attempted a strange "ranged" unholy spec and it never worked out very well. DKs are like Ret Paladins and Enhancement Shammans using a combination of magic and melee abilities. Originally Posted by Alcsaar

Frost Mage > Shadow Priest or Warlock > Balance Druid > Elemental Shaman.
Frost Mages don't really need high amounts of Resilience like other classes would have. Plus, they have basically a double Frost Nova, and other CC abilities where others don't. I would assume a Warlock would come in 2nd, but really close to a Shadow Priest.

From personal experience I survive longer on my spriest.
Primary because I'm better with priests then I am with mages.

Mages always from Vanila had the best survivability and they always ware first my list goes.
1.Mage
2.Priest
3.Lock
4.Moonkin
