I'd say most will adapt, and perhaps about 10% of Wrath rollers may quit, but a lot will return to the game I'd say, but good riddance to the quitters anyway.

(I will quit myself though if the PvE situation isn't fixed, and yes it's my opinion that it's broken, I don't claim it as fact)

I hope a lot of people quit. Every single person that's complained about a boss fight being too hard, beta not living up to their expectations, or most recently, the length of dungeons currently on the beta.. All of these may go.

I really hope that 5mans are hard again, I love SFK and SM from normal wow and they're all fairly lengthy when done at the appropriate levels.. They're actually making it so you spend time in the instances they've created this time, not expect a 15 minute run through whatever comes up on the LFG. I imagine in time when people outgear 5mans it'll return to a rediculously fast paced rush, but still hopefully longer than what WotLK is..

as long as wow lives and I'm able to use pc (and I don't start calling fat ppl ogres), I think I will keep playing wow, I just love the lore and the 3 aspects of gameplay (PVP,PVE and RP) and I LOVE the direction cataclysm is going to so...yah

I can't help but notice a trend going around the scare-mongers with the brain of the size of a peanut, every time one of them wants to look different from the other he just adds a bit to what the other said.

Example: another thread already made with some human waste crying about instances going for 1 hour and a half, now this unique specimen here thought if he adds maybe another half hour to the previous time span, maybe he get's more attention that he obviously needs badly, the answer is still NO.
If you got kids to raise and can't spend 3 hours out of your daily time to play the game then please do stop playing, and raise your kids properly so they don't end up as useless as yourself.

maybe the ones who cant adapt to the changes will quit because they cant continue down the steamroller path they did in wrath(heck we all did) but my guess is it wont be a number meaning anything that quits.

on a serious note, i predict people who have been playing since vanilla/tbc in majority won't quit (if we are talking about "easyness" of the game as reason to quit). But people who started in wotlk and got used on easily-obtained top gear and roflstomping aoezerging through pretty much, well, everything might find cataclysm too hard.
I wish those weaklings who quit after 2 wipes saw heroic shadow lab or arcatraz ;_;
