What will the other Alliance Races do?

ok.. so Worgens 'Mount' has now been announced... OK fast running worgen fun.. suits them as well.. but what i want to know... What will the other alliance races do? will they get this super cool running thing ( gnomes ftw ) .. or will there be a lets say replacement mounts? ? ( Maby the others races ride an actual worgen? ).

Im very intrigued to what blizzard are planning.

I play Gnomes and no, running on all fours would not be a good thing.. regarding Mounts, yes i would like to see some new style mounts for all factions,races.. i mean zones 1-60 have been revamped so why not the mounts too.. but im sure Blizz have better things to do right now.. so maybe some day down the track. Lets say goblins get 6 different mounts (3 normal 3 epic). Imo this number should be spread over the other alliance races <excluding worgen> to balance it out.

But why did blizzard remove Tauren's plainsrunning in the first place, btw?

I think what this might relate to is that race mounts are an easy boost for everyone who is trying to do 'collect mounts' achievements. At the moment, the horde has a clear upper hand because they can buy easy goblin mounts while Alliance are short of mounts here.

i smell QQ from alliance having 6 or so less mounts to get from the worgen race, when the horde gets 6 from the goblins...

This isn't a matter of saving time. The animations still had to be made in order to make this feel cool.

It's a matter of preference and creating an immersive gameplay experience. Giving the worgen a distinct creature to ride just didn't feel right, but they can still ride other mounts if they meet the criteria. Right now we're okay with the fact that this particular race is different when it comes to mounts. We feel that makes it interesting, even if the Alliance gets less racial mounts as a result. There are plenty of mounts out there and we can always add more.

instead of making it a mount, they tried to do it an uberly weird spell that worked like this
1st step, you activate
2nd step, you must run for 10 seconds to take the speed
3rd step, if anynthing touches you, you go back to walking
