B.P.E. (Best Patch Ever official thread)

Ok lots of people filling ocean with QQ about the new patch about how CHANGE disturb them and make the game unplayable but you know what I dont care and I am going to express MY opinion about this patch.

Oh and I would like everyone that LOVE the new patch and the refreshening change it brings with it.

Personnaly like I said in another thread I love the new UI, the new class mechanics (even if they arent fully balanced out atm), I really like the new spell alert (power aura in-game), and lots of little other thing makes it even more enjoyable.

That other thread brings up a valid point about the constant DCing and all of the bugs(I haven't DCed once after the patch, luckily). But other than that, this is one of the most enjoyable patches to date, I find.

If this patch wasn't riddled with connection issues, various bugs and class balance being out of whack it might indeed be a good patch. But that isn't the case. This is a pretty bad patch. Some of the content was good, like my new talents, but they really should have done some more bug squashing before it went live.

Agreed, 99% of the bugs were well-known on the PTR and they just ignored them.

I went 50/50 on this. The patch is awesome due to all the changes which made the game a lot better and less faceroll, but at the same time all the problems with disconnects, errors, and bugs also led me to partially dislike this patch as well.

i enjoy this patch, there will always be bugs and they will be fixed soon enough, no complaints here

People are expecting a bit too much out of a major content patch. We could have just sat around twiddling our thumbs til Dec with nothing to do but farm old content. Atleast we can gain some insight into the new spells and UI before the Xpac is released. See the light at the end of the tunnel and just be patient. I'm very happy with the changes but know alot of polishing has to be done.

How so is the game less faceroll? Heroics are still AOEable and I still mash keys and do good dps on my DK.

My only issue with the patch is the DC when you mouseover soul wells and the like.

Just what the title says , this has been by far the worst patch ever and for me at least a big slap in the face
, a slap in the face to all the players who ever played this game ,
and the truly funny crazy thing about it is , people are defending it
,they say o this is how it always is ..... not this bad of one , o it's the biggest patch ever and you should expect bugs , yes i expected bugs but not this ,
constant dces from moucing over an object,
constant dc's from entering any instance ,
and the new system of how players use there spells .....gimmie a break,

it makes me feel like i just bought an 80 on e bay and it's my first day in wow , the game doesn't feel new it feels like once again blizz has found away to rip me off ....again,
im not having fun and tho im trying to i really am the only true reason im still even playing isn't cause cata is coming out or anything game wise ,
it's the people i know ingame and the social aspect of it ,
but i just do not feel like it is worth it ,
another funny thing is i expressed my feeling in the forums of wow , and got a 3 day ban for doing so , they seem to be activly removing ,deleting or not even letting anyone show there distaste for this ...garbage....
you all may be gung ho for this patch i for one , am done im saying my goodbyes to wow and moving on and i know a lot of others who feel and are doing the same , wow has had it's time and it is past .

p.s. want to know how others feel? this months Gameinformer(page 42) just about says it all .

I will admit i got disconnection issue on third day, but i think they were doing hotfix to moonkin this night so this is maybe why it happened (this or maybe one of my addon). But even if some thing were buggy going all fresh on my long forgotten alt and playing my resto druid was hell fun, I was able to TANK HEAL omg it was nice.

Tin-Foil hat needs to come off. Stop thinking that the new patch's bugs are a conspiracy that Blizzard IGNORED problems and go back to thinking Al-Queda wasn't responsible for 9/11.

I'm going to ask quite an off-topic question, but I don't want to create a separate thread for it. For 4.0.1 I had to download a fresh WoW client because of Hard Drive space, and till now the only issues I have are the cog bug (game freezes on the Hallowed Pumpkin, EotS flag) and dc'ing if I teleport/use the flight path and alt-tab out of the game. Other than that, the game has been working flawlessly and without problems. Could it be that the various bugs are from updating the 3.3 client to 4.0?

I love this patch. I actually love everything, all my 80's with their new specs / changed playstyle (on most). The only negative things are those disconnects and random crashes.

So I was at the headless horseman, and all 4 people DC'd as they moused over the pumpkin. Since I didn't mouseover, I didn't DC and ended up soloing him. For the most part the cog bug hasn't affected me, but all the addon troubles people have been having is starting to irk me. But it's a major patch so it's to be expected.

i voted best patch ever, because it is the best pre-expansion patch yet.
considering how much of an overhaul it is, i'd say they're doing pretty well.

Well, imho, Activision is the reason garbage is getting shoved out from Blizz so much the past couple years. They have a business model of getting it out there, ready or not.

I think it's just fine to freshen up the game, and indeed I do like the fresh changes and slick new UI patch 4.0.1 has to offer.

That being said, I wonder how the Activision CEO and GC would feel if every time they looked at the office door to go home it ported them back into their desk chair for another 15 minutes or so until they got enough "Good RNG" to actually make it through the door and leave work.
