Boo to the IBF nerfs!! The damage reduction going from 30%-20% isnt so bad since I am not a tank...but the CD going from 2-3 mins? noooo!!! In PvP I use it alot for the stun protection!

I never really understood how you guys worked around like this...
I hear "PvE sucks because blizz only cares about arena!" and then "My class sucks in pvp because blizz only cares about pve!" Hell it hits a lot of other stuff too like horde/alliance etc.
But really what do you think blizz does to decide changes? Do you think they just make changes based on one aspect of the game? No they consider everything for it, they probably came to the conclusion we needed the pvp side changed too.
The change was made in response to boss damage getting nerfed at 85. Bosses were over-tuned because they were trying to balance them against OP Bear tanks. When the nerfed the Bear tanks and then boss damage they needed to make a tweak to the rest of tanks. All tanks, except for warriors, have an equal damage reduction on the same CD timer through talents. Warriors get slightly more damage reduction but at the expense of a longer CD.
I for one am glad this wasn't balanced for PvP and has been balanced for lvl 85 raid tanking. PvP can still be "balanced" other ways, like through more tweaks to Resilience. That said, resilience is the one thing that should get changed when attempting to balance PvP before making (or not making) changes to class abilities or mechanics.
For once again, Blizz nerfing Melee classes more. Casterclysm coming soon
Nonetheless, this adversely affects DK pvp and it certainly appears that this side of IBF was not taken into account. Adding an entire minute onto a CD that already had its effectiveness reduced 10% hurts. Barkskin and Divine Protection are both 20% damage reduction CDs that remain on 1 minute cooldowns. The only difference is we get a stun immunity with IBF and I don't believe that warrants another 2 minutes be added to our CD compared to other classes.
The probably is IBF is first and for most a tanking CD and that's what it should be designed/balanced around not. There are other changes that can be made to imporve lvl 85 pvp with out messing around with something as big as a tanking CD. The change was made to bring all tanks on similar ground as far as their major damage reduction CD and to normalize boss damage.
DKs still get AMS, something that a lot other classes do not have something similar to use. Be smart and rotate it in at the correct time since it will be just as affective as IBF so long as it's a magical attack. You may think Resilience is boring but too bad, it is the "PvP" stat and it's the one thing that should be messed with to "fix" PvP before messing with anything else. That and I also think they really need to work more with PvP buffs or debuffs in Arenas and the new rated BGs. A health buff or a damage debuff to help balanced PvP damage so they can stop having to mess around with class abilities and talents just because one class is slightly better then another.
So the sky is falling now that IBF has had a minor tweak, when we're talking about the most ridiculous class ever to have been introduced into pvp?
As though DK's don't already have enough pvp utility moves and still have a completely overpowered design when it comes to utility/counters? Nobody recalls that in 2's, having a DK pretty much chaulked up an automatic win against pretty much every comp?
