Troll, orc, or goblin lock? objective (Extra dps)

Im trying to decide which race will provide a larger dps boost. So far im leaning towards goblin because its the new class and its cool. BUT! Orc has extra pet dmg, and a free trinket. Troll has haste, and hp regen. Which should I choose?

Ive been playing a female orc on ptr, and i like it.

Does anyone goblin rocket compares to orc's dps boost? Or troll haste even.

Orc for extra dps. I am pretty sure Bloodfury is still mathematically the best dps increase ( i could be way wrong here). But that plus the pet boost puts it ahead of the other 2.

I think it goes Orc > Troll > Goblin.

Whichever you think is the most fun, it's not vey enjoyable to play a race you dont like the looks/animations off for example (atleast I dont think so).
Play undead myself, tried orc for a few months but couldnt stand it.

Orc sounds like its best but despite your objectivity you should still go with what's coolest to you. = D

orc is often best early expac before casting speed(it isnt haste) outweighs it. If you have engi as a prof gob isnt much use as rocket boots have been putting engi stuff on cd and the 1 percent passive isnt as good as the 20 percent on 2 min cd. Goblins have by far the best perks though.

Well on ptr its still 10%...

Regen is actually sorta good for locks, life tappers will be thankful to have it.

I'd still say Orc for PvP. Although, honestly I don't care about racials myself so i go with looks.

I'd say Orc.
That's what my Warlock is and she's awesome with the added pet damage (especially as a demonology spec). The spell power increase added with Blood Fury is also a nice extra.

The rocket does like 2k damage at 85 was on gcd last i saw and puts boots on cd so not that great, on any movement fight boots are a better use of the cd.

Basically guys, until you decide to gimp yourself by going Belf with their "bad" racials and then proceed to perform significantly better than almost every Warlock you've raided with, you won't understand just how little racials matter.

Case in point, if 2 Orc 'locks of the same spec and gear are in a raid and one does better than the other we know that the gap is attributed to something other than Blood Fury. If that gap is significant, chances are it can't be equalized with a race change for either of them.

I changed to Orc for about 3 weeks some time back because I wanted to try out these amazing racials but to be completely honest the difference was unnoticeable.

You may think I am biased but in addition to trying Orc I also have an Undead Warlock at 80. I feel that Belves aren't very well represented as 'locks in these kinds of discussions, either due to misconceived ideas about what all BE players are like or maybe it's just the fact that they are a bit "glamorous" without the glamorous racials to go with it. It's much nicer to surprise people I guess :P

By all means pick the best looking Icing, Just make sure the cake has substance.

if troll regen worked with mana then i'd go troll, also it depends your spec because destro would benefit most from the troll haste racial.

orc seems to be the way to go if you want better dps.

I think most WoW players aren't good enough at the game for their chosen race's racials to be a significant factor in determining how good a player they are. There are so many other factors at play that the small boost you get from your racial is pretty much statistically insignificant.

You could say the same for every gem socket. And still, all those small, minor factors adds up.

Orc: 585 SP for 15 sec, 120 sec CD = average of 73,125 SP (SP, no Int)
Goblin:1% haste = 128 haste rating.

Depending on your spec, the current simcraft with BiS T11 heroic gear lists SP about twice as valuable as haste.
That alone would put the orc to the front, but add another +5% petdamage (which I guesstimate would be about 5% for 20% for about 20k dps... 200 DPS?) and we have a clear winner.

Strictly for PvE damage that is, but hands down, nothing beat the other goblin racials in form of convenience (bank access, npc discounts, etc)!

Edit: forgot the goblin rocket barrage...
the barrage deals (1 + 0.25 * AP.429 * $SPFI + level * 2 + $INT * 0.50193) damage every 2 min (off the gcd). with about 5500 int in T11, that would be 2.932 damage. That would be about 24 dps, a bit more if it can crit. Still wouldn't beat the orc.
