I don't get the logic

Hey all,

I don't see the logic in this.

So the new patch wil hit wednesday for me (EU) and will change the world forever. But that means that the worgen district is available in darnassus and in SFK the worgen will be showing up there. But we still can't play as worgen.

Same as for the goblins. They rebuild whole azshara and have a district in OG. We can't play them either.


Explain this for me. If they made all the districts and you can find them now everywhere. Why can't we play them already?

Whats hard to understand? That content isnt enabled...

Blood Elves and Draenei appeared before their expansion and we could use them either, same with Death Knights.

With everything thats going on in azeroth only a few small groups of goblins and worgen fled their cities to find aid for their struggling and fallen comrades, the rest are too unsettled by all this happening at once?

its just to help blizz on release date would be too much to to do the shattering and enable all the new class/race combos too

Just close your eyes for two weeks every time you come near anything Worgen or Goblin related and it is all peachy.

Goblin/Worgen npcs are people too. Don't segregate your cities over your superiority complex over this. They deserve fair treatment like the rest of us.

Give those npcs their moment in the spotlight and you can have yours in a few weeks.

And because i can get banned for not saying anything else, you can find "logic" in them having to change the world first, and then make it playable, rather than having the people buy the xpac first, and wait for everyone to click "ready" in the worldwide readycheck to see if everyone has the xpac and THEN change the world.

Plus they can get ppl back to the game because the general logic is that if they grab hold of players trough free content, they might hold them tight enough to warrant a purchase of the xpac.

TLDR: Basic marketing, you're welcome.

You can't play as Worgen yet because you don't have Cataclysm. The Cataclysm may have happened but you don't have the expansion pack yet therefore Blizzard don't have the money that they need to let you play Worgen. You won't be able to play as Worgen after 7th december if you haven't Bought Cataclysm either.

New Races are Expansion based, not lore based. Just like Dreanei, Blood Elves and Death Knights. You can't play as them unless you have their respective expansion paid for and installed!

What exactly are you having problems understanding? Seems straightforward to me. You buy the Cata Xpac for that magic number printed on the CD sleeve. That means Blizzard has received $50 (or equivalent) from you. Then you can be worgen and goblin.

The events have still happened, Goblins have still joined the horde etc. None of the Goblin or Worgen recruits are ready to train yet! in 2 weeks they will be :P

Pros bought Cata online from Blizzard. Slackers will have to wait for their boxes.
Imo, all the new content should be available to those who upgraded online. It would also be a smart bussiness decision from Blizzard as they wouldn't share profits with the distributors.

Think of it this way... When DK's were brought in you could make them at anytime (heck you can still make a new one) and you still have to go through the holy quest line there even though in the rest of the world that storyline had taken place already. Time in the game sense is flexible with the introduction of the instancing of zones. That's just how it works now and although you may choose to view it as you have to wait two weeks longer to play a race you want to play, in the long run it makes the storytelling aspect of wow much stronger.

I love that when the last tbc-patch hit, and we had Blood Elf quest givers in some Horde villages, and Draenei quest givers in Alliance places, everyone was all "fair nuff"... But now, when it's goblins and worgen instead, everyone is all "THE FUCK IS HAPPENING!?!?!?!" .... Yeah...

That's not what I meant.

It's about patch 4.0.3a. Since the world is changed and everything implied and stuff. Excluding some things. Like worgen now roam the world and stuff. Why can't we play them yet. I don't see the logic in that.
