So.. i was gaining herb and alch levels in redrige when i come across a druid, he pretty much races me to a mageroyal node, i beat him to it and get a whisper "f**k you" so i reply the same and ignore him, then a few hours later i get this:

Maybe i shouldn't have flamed back, but, 1. i wasn't the person in the wrong really, and 2. the gm could barely put an english sentace together, and it got worse until i got disconnected,

If this is true, the GM wouldn't temp banned you but would temp ban the one that reported you for making a false report.

PS: If this is true, just contact wowgm@blizzard.com (or follow the instruction from the email you received) it should be lifted. If it is true.

Note: Why I'm saying that? About the same situation and the douchebag whispered me to go "smoke a pole" (look it up) and answered back with the f word. When the GM contacted me I told him and after about 5 minutes he came back to tell me everything was ok and the other player was in trouble for making a false report.

Dont curse at haters. You'll get hated on. Just smile and nod, or tell them to have a nice day, or ignore them.

Furthermore, in order to complain a person having poor sentance structure, you should probably have superior sentance structure yourself.

I'm not going to lie, i already said that i said f**k you back, if that's what got me banned then so be it, but if he didn't get banned also, then thats just serious bull shit, the GM didn't even allow me to ask him any questions or anything, just apologised along the lines of "sorrey ma8te feel sorry for you do i" well it probably made about that ammount of sense anyways.

Yeeeah, I had some-one rush to get a Thorium node once. I was using it to level Blacksmithing, he was riding around at level 80 on a mechnohog just selling it for cash. I didn't swear at him but i did tell him to go find some manners. He was pretty understanding and next time didn't rush when i was already at one.

But iunno, it does seem a little unfair in my opinion. You got there first and there was no need for him to have ago at you like that.
Usually when some-one races me to a node if i grt there first and they dont cus me for it, i will share half of whatever i picked/mined. S'fair.

Moral of the story: even if someone else is a jerk, don't curse back at them, no matter how tempting it might be.

Once I was raiding with my guild in MC back in Vanilla. There was a guy in another raid spamming a bunch of racist remarks in General Chat. So I reported him.

About an hour later a GM whispered me and said I'm being suspended. Turns out he suspended me because I said the "F-word" in my own guild chat!

I got suspended and no one even reported me! It was completely unrelated even...

So yeah, when someone gets reported, the GM can or will review and the petitioner's actions as well.

Yea i take full responsibility for what happened, i shouldn't have cursed back, but still, theres no way of me findind out if anything happened to him or not, like i said, the GM wouldn't even reply to any question, just saying the same thing to me over and over just worded differently

It works so much better than proper insults and usually everyone else will laugh at whoever did it. No point being an idiot, you'll only end up looking stupid :-D

Yea, the other day I was out turkey hunting for my Turkinator Achieve. I noticed there was a hunter out and about as well. Mind you, he is a hunter. I was about twice the distance he was from this turkey. As I was heading towards it, I noticed he had stopped near it, dismounted and stood there staring at it long enough for me to be able to get within melee range to kill it. He then calls me an @$$. I mounted up in the process and kept riding along in search for another unfortunate turkey, ignoring his comment. I only asked myself, why? Did I interrupt something between him and this turkey?

Yeah if you mail Blizzard you can report anything

1. If people get offended by curse words, perhaps they shouldn't be using them.
2. If you don't want to be cussed at, don't give people a reason to.
3. If you don't like curse words, TURN ON YOUR CHAT FILTER.

It is for these reasons that I believe saying "F**k you," should not be grounds for suspension.
