Wow from the looks of the thread, people do love having eye-candy in their builds (mine doesn't even have tidied up cabling).
My setup consists of:
CPU: i7 4770 with a Xigmatek Apache-III cooler
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 2 x 8 GB 1600 MHz CL10
MoBo: MSI B85M-E45
GPU: Sapphire R7 370 (NITRO Dual-X OC 4 GB)
Drive: 240 GB Samsung 840 EVO
PSU: SilverStone Strider 700W 80+ Plus Bronze Single Rail 54A Modular
Case: Cooler Master Silencio 352
Had initially bought it for some simulation, virtualisation and GPU work, then got a better option in terms of my work machines, hence gave my other 16 GB to a friend as I had no use for them.
And now, I use it solely for Blizzard's games except for Overwatch as it does not appeal to me.

Let's cool it, guys. Keep it civil and on-topic.
@Karon, so I have got to ask. I've always liked your rig and I always hate seeing negativity take over in these forums, and I hope things will go back to how they used to be soon.
Anyways, I wanted to know what games you're actively playing that will use 1080 Ti SLI? What monitor are you using? TTL's 1080 Ti SLI video definitely makes me hesitant about SLI, at least right now. Hopefully as drivers mature the performance in games will be more similar to 3DMark, across the board.

Hoping you'll post your overclocks in the competitive threads.

I can agree on that =)
I play the games that I play with mouse and keyboard on a ultra wide monitor at 2560x1080 for which it would be a total waste but the games I play with controller I play on an 4k TV (Nier being the most recent one)
Nier puts both cards on 100% load with a customized BF1 Sli profile but since the game is locked at 60 FPS (and the limit remover doesn't work for me) I can't tell how well it scales =/
I wouldn't hold my breath for high overclocks tho. I put a 150mhz OC on them and they reach the 120% power limit and throttle hard. I think 1990mhz was the highest Ive got them (even tho I suspect that there is a driver issue going on on my pc, on the first few days the cards reached 1911mhz with gpu boost with the powerimit raised but no other OC, after a few days they dropped by ~60 MHz)
Turned out my new mobo had 7 bent cpu pins, I was pretty pissed and not looking forward to RMA. Ended up trying to straighten them all out with a pair of tweezers.
Threw in the chip, screwed everything in, was 99% sure nothing would work....lo' and behold it booted straight into windows. Guess I'm keeping the mobo for now :P
Upgrades:
CPU: i5 2500k @ 4.7ghz > i7 7700k (yet to OC)

Mobo: Asus Sabertooth P67 > Asus Strix Z270F
GPU: Asus GTX 780 DCII > Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti Aorus (yet to OC)
SSD: Samsung 830 128gb > Samsung 960 EVO 500gb NVMe
OS: Win 7 > Win 10 Pro
Existing stuff...
Cooler: Noctua D15
PSU: Seasonic X-760w

Yeah you can use paste over and over again without reapplying it, it is just not best practice is all. I think my comp at work had the heat sink off 3-4 times (in quick succession) about 4 years ago. I have no odd temps even today, as good as it has ever been and it is now nearly a 10 year old comp lol. Only thing you need to look out for is drying it out.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

Started this build as a budget PC to replace my laptop that I only used for basic tasks and watching Twitch, WatchESPN, etc. I bought this APU for the pure value in the R7 integrated graphics and computing power for about $105 at the time from Newegg... but I began dabbling in a few games with friends and I convinced myself that if I JUST got the 1050ti, that'd settle my want to upgrade with the conscious decision to be on a budget.
This is far from my first build and I originally just wanted a small footprint PC for my desk, wifi, silent, capable enough to dabble in smaller games like Diablo... but then the itch hit me as I was building it, I wanted new RGB fans to go with the EVGA RGB cooler, then I ordered the Asus Strix 1050Ti and some custom power cables to tie the RGB theme together. It is still compact, and silent, but it runs Overwatch and Diablo on High/Ultra just fine
Tiny case was a bit of a struggle for cable management and whatnot, but after removing all of the excess hardrive trays, it ended up looking okay I think
