    Sooo, who hates Ulduar?

I see all people saying Ulduar was so awesome and such, now i wanna know how many people thinks its bad!

I personally didnt play when Ulduar was released and i've only done the first wing but for me, it looks pretty boring.

I wanna know if you hate Ulduar and why. I'm not interested if you like Ulduar, i just wanna know why people think its bad.

I AM NOT SAYING ULDUAR IS BAD IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!

Edit: I've seen all of the tankspot videos ofc. So dont flame me for not SEEING it, or you dont flame at all and we could all have a nice community. ^^

Nice pre-emptive "DO NOT FLAME ME".

Anyways, I love Ulduar, so I can't speak for myself, but have something related here: one of my guildies hates it - he isn't sure why, actually, but he never did weekly if it was Ulduar, nor did he participate any achievements run. He did give help by telling the tactics and such, but he never set a foot insinde the damn instance.
He says he probably over-raided it when it was fresh, and kinda got fed up with being dragged in it week after week.

Only reason I thought Ulduar was bad was that it was released at a very bad point of time, right during the summer. Also, Flame Leviathan was way too easy. And it might have been the main content for too short of a time aswell. Apart from that, I can't find anything bad about the instance itself.

Wow you are truly asking for it by creating this thread. Ulduar was the most complete Raid of Wrath because it felt massive and epic in scale, and the progression through it felt ver fluid. Such as how when you down Kologram he makes the path for you to continue. I never had a chance to go deep into it when it was the main raid, however I had friends that I would watch doing it, and it was just extremely unique.

I only hate Ulduar because I lost Champion of Ulduar to some bad mage standing in rockets. I'll forgive it eventually.

Ulduar sucked, because it was a major step up in difficulty compared to Naxxramas. Most people couldn't adapt and never bothered to go through the entire thing. Far too many optional bosses and the end-boss mechanic was simply too complicated to understand.

Now, just for the record, I'm only pointing this out because you aren't interested in why I love the place. But for those that are interested, the above reasons is why I love it.

First couple fights in Ulduar weren't very exciting, but then again not many raids put the exciting bosses at the front. Also as things get nerfed some of the feel of the dungeon is lost. I remember when on Razorscale you actually had to worry about the blue flames, or on XT trying to push him into hard mode took real effort. Some of the fights can be pretty boring if you are DPS too where as the healing and tanking aspects of Ulduar were fairly exciting.

I didn't care for fighting titan constructs, but I certainly didn't hate it.

Your opinion, and this entire thread, are immediately invalidated by this sentence alone :\ Don't even pretend you're trying to do something more productive than bait trolling.

    Why I hate Ulduar?
Because of its level of perfection.
Things simply aren't supposed to be so wonderful and flawless, it goes against our nature.

Well that's only because Naxxrams was grossly undertuned, but the first few bosses of Ulduar were so boring, and the trash to Leviathan and Vezax should burn in a fire for all eternity.

Ulduar was simply the best raid in WOTLK. It had mechanics that 1shot you, it DIDN'T cater for noobs - unlike 99% of all the other encounters in Wrath. People who cannot comprehend the mechanics should just quit before Cataclysm. I expect Cataclysm to be a step up from ulduar, because although it was the most difficult raid in WOTLK, i still cleared it within 6 weeks of release. What i expect blizzard to do is impliment the Ulduar difficulty into Cataclysm, but beef it up a little. Make more than 1 mechanic 1shot you (I love you mimiron).

Just my 2 cents - Ulduar was easy but the hardest raid in wotlk - Cataclysm should be alot harder.

To be completely honest with you, while I loved the bosses and the mechanics of the fights, I didn't really care too much for Titan lore, and the general feel of Storm Peaks/Ulduar/Keepers/Sons of Hodir etc as a whole. The whole thing kinda bored me (although I did like Yogg-Saron stuff).

Like, I much preferred the feel/vibe/music/Aesthetics of the Argent Coliseum, although the raid itself was awful.

So from a raid point of view, Ulduar was great. From an Aesthetic/Lore point of view, meh I found it boring.

Ulduar was by far the best raid in Wrath. It's over-rated though. I really don't think that anyone who spent any less than weeks of /played in Ulduar.

Also you could choose so many difficulties on bosses and gain extra emblems or even the 226 hardmode drops. It was just a perfectly designed raid and Yogg is such an awesome boss to fight. The sound fiels on Yogg and Algalon are probably the best of the expansion.
Plus ahving a hardmode only boss that is unlocked by having to do other hardmodes made it even more epic. I'm glad to see Sinestra will bring a hardmode only encounter to cata, I just hope the fight itself looks as epic as Algalon did, fighting in a room surrounded by stars and constelations really was the pinacle of Ulduar.
