I've killed KT in magister's terrace 70 times on heroic... that means I've potentially had 280 chances at the 1% drop rate of the orb.... I have had 4 mounts drop as well. Why does RND hate me

make suer you loot the other bosses, they have a chance to drop the orb too

If I recall the Orb of Sindorei drops off the pvp boss, but you have to kill them to get to KT so i imagine you looted that boss as well.

It's droped for me loads... about one drops every time I'm there :| How can it not drop?

I've been farming MGT for about two weeks now for the mount. Got the orb and the pet on the first day, and have gotten the pet two more times since then. The RNG is a crazy biotch sometimes.

Confirmation that it drops from Kael, himself. Just got my first one yesterday.... had completely forgotten it even dropped there.
Oh well, still no mount nor pet for me... so don't be too jealous.

It's a random drop from any boss on HC in MGT.

Keep in mind I've farmed this orb for more than 2 months strait... It isn't luck that got me those mounts...

I got this when I was farming for the mount. I also got the phoenix pet in under 10 times soloing this. I think I will keep trying for the mount when I hit 85.

2% drop rate off every boss in MgT Heroic. Decided to help 2 guildies have a go at the orb/mount and luckily 2 orbs dropped in the same run so that solved that

It drops off the 2 final bosses. I was solo'ing MGT HC the other week for like the 5th time or sumthing and had that Orb thingy drop twice in a run.

Farming the instance 56-60 times and getting the mount certainly isn't down to a lot of work, it's down to quite lucky RNG. Now if you'd been farming for over 6 months, i'd agree it was down to the effort and time spent, but 60 runs to get it is quite modest in all honesty.

Keep in mind his is the least rare "rare" mount. it has about a 3% drop rate, using some statistics, you have about a 99% chance of seeing one drop in about 40 runs. I have been somewhat lucky on other mounts, but considering I've run with guildies since I got mine, at least they didnt go to waste
