    Grid vs Healbot

Hello, I am currently used to playing with Healbot and it works as it should but I hear and see lots of people use Grid, what are the pro's and cons from both of these addons?

    Thanks!

In my opinion grid is better due to the very much easier config. And, combined with Clique it is the only addons you'll ever need for healing with almost no configuration needed.

Actually, the opposite is true. Healbot does EVERYTHING grid does but dosent take 4 hours (which you wont get back) to configure. In addition, when I tried it it mucked up my standard UI not allowing me to right click portraits cos it was now bound to something else.

Seriously, check it out. I know everyone has personal preferences, but Vuhdo rocks, does everything you could possibly want, and is customizable in just about any way you want, and doesn't have the laggy interface of healbot. Win all around

It took me 10 mins max to config grid the first time I used it. Idk what made it so hard for you.

Grid to me is much easier to config than healbot. Use clique along with it if you want to click the heal works great.

I use both depending on character. Grid as my non-healer raid frame with clique for things i may need to cast on other raid members, but use healbot for healing as it is, in my opinion, far superior, its simpler to set up, does everything I need whereas I'd need lots of addons to Grid to make it half as functional, is easy to keep updated and I think looks nicer.

But neither is better, it depends on what you prefer, give grid a go, you can always swap back when you realise HB is better :P

Grid/clique is ok if you only need 2/3 spells, but if you need a whole arsenal of healing spells, buffs and such, then healbot is definatly the way to go, up to 15 mouse buttons can be mapped, each with a ctrl, alt and shift modifier......you'll never run out of buttons to map to. Not sure about why someone said something about a laggy HB interface, as I've used it for ages and never experienced that.

True.. Vuhdo in my opinion is way better then healbot or grid for healing.. I have used all and Vuhdo is what I personally will stick with.

Grid is great and simple. Vuhdo is great, arguably better than Grid, but a bit more complicated. Healbot is pre-packed and relatively inflexible.

If you add Clique to Grid or Vuhdo, they do the exact same thing Healbot does, but in a vastly more configurable way, so your UI is what you want, not what the addon author gave you. If you like Healbot's look, stick with it. If you'd like to change some things, it's worth moving to either of the others.

I've used Grid up to this point, but I may try VuhDo. It takes way longer to configure, but I've only heard good things about it.

i support the VuhDo to bandwagon all the way.

Grid: you need tons of plug ins, it takes a long to configure. Fast and lightweight.
Healbot: Set up the spells/binds and you're good to go.
Vuhdo: Even easier to set up than Healbot, has more options (all built in, no plug ins), it looks the best out of those 3.

Used all, went HB>Grid/Clique>Vuhdo. Vuhdo I shall stick with. It's awesome.

I've used Healbot for a while, but I found it quite slow to update health bars, been using Grid since forever now

I love Vuhdo as well, but why do you need clique with it? It has a built-in interface to handle that on its own... that's one of the things my wife likes about it, actually. She doesn't run clique anymore, so she can use mouse clicks on her standard frame for other things.

To play with VuhDo you will probably need someone that has experience with the addon, because that addons configuration is insane, I loved it for that; but having to go from targeting and pressing my heals bound to keys to clicking a frame (which some may debate is more efficient, and I think I could agree to some extent) was too much for me. VuhDo is Healbot on steroids. Grid + Clique, which is what I use, and I only use Clique to bind PI, PS, Abolish Disease and Cleanse, is very efficient in a simple way. Most addons with tons of configuration options tend to break or malfunction in some way and then you're stuck logging into H Sindragosa after a DC with all your frames black, or just simply gone, desperately trying to get the default blizzard frames out. So its up to you whether you wanna go simple with Grid/Clique/Healbot, or advanced with VuhDo.

P.S: You can make VuhDo look very very pretty if you make your own custom UI's

Hehe thanks for the replies guys.

I will try VuhDo out in the near future, when cata is released. For the moment Healbot does almost everything I need for the moment to be capable of healing heroic dungeons.

    I have seen Vuhdo.
    I tried Grid and Healbot.
Personal conclusion: never seen anything coming close to a properly configured Pitbull 4.0
... i don't recommend it, don't get me wrong. It took me days until it did everything i want for 10 classes (pally being the last twink as i write, level 74). Unchanged it's near useless because it causes eye-cancer. But after the changes it does a perfect job for almost every spec on every class ingame. Visually far better than Grid and, with mouseover macros (imho, as usual) far better than Healbot.

Crayz persons would get Pitbull. It's an encounter you could compare to Arthas (10 man) hardmode =)
