Since I started healing four months ago, I have been using the following scheme
1. Clicking on target
2. Pressing a number key ( with possibly CTRL modifer ) to cast a heal
Using VuDu for the first time, I do like the fact that heals are more... deterministic. Since clicking will mean a heal... and there is less room for error from mis-pressing keys. However, I feel as though I have a lot less control with my heals.
Perhaps it is just that I am not used to it.
I am wondering whether anyone here ignores the healing addons after having used them, or if I'm the only one.
EDIT: Just to be clear... I use a grid-like addon to see who is HOTed, how long my lifebloom has left to tick, etc.
However, I do not combine it with tools that let me "click" the boxes to heal. Rather, I click the window and immediately press the appropriate key for the spell i want to cast. Honestly, I feel it makes me feel more engaged in the fight... plus I feel like I am much more mobile, since I am one of those people who 'righ-clicks' to rotate my character.
