And first HC in i get kicked third pull. (was dps)
Just thought it funny, people will apparently take any chance to kick someone if they arent top dps. Jeez i've been carrying scrubs on my shaman for weeks and never initiated a votekick.

Anybody would kick someone who isn't as good as them, for no reason.
What DPS were you pulling? Were you standing in bad shit?
I kick any DPS that isn't up to snuff, doesn't mean I expect them to match my 18-20k, but if they're at 4-6k GTFO. No reason to be sub 8k as I was breaking 10k on December 7th/8th in my first heroics.

Not always the case though.
Average I can pull 10k, if I want 18-20k.
But on some fights I will sit at the bottom with around 4 - 5k. All depends on the mechanics

just think its funny. Been pulling all kind of noob crap on the shaman. Pulled packs, stood in fire and never gotten kicked. Guess everyone wants a shaman in group heh.
I almost never kick people (I am a tank) and even less just because of low dps. There are very few fights where the dps will make or break the encounter. Correct target priority and CC will trump dps in many cases. Case in point: Erudax the other night. I was wiping in an LFD pug over and over because dps could not get the adds down. Eventually two dps left, and we got two replacements that were actually lower dps. One was a rog who was able to tag each add with some slow poison as they spawned and the other a hunter slowing w conc shot if one add got missed by the rog. The dps who left were up around 9-10k, but were slow to switch targets to adds and weren't using all the tools they had to slow the adds. Smart DD beats high dps imo...DD are much more than damage these days.

the only time i initiate a kick to a dps is when i (the tank) am pulling more dps then you and your still alive

Being useful > Dps.
MCing that add who would otherwise wipe us right when stuff gets hairy, Hunter/Shammys not dpsing the boss and eating the last tick of Shadow Gale to lay down trap/earth binding ASAP, etc etc I would favor far over someone pulling 15k dps.
18k dps on a tank and spank in a 5man is not normal. Even BIS gear people can't pull this without proper groups. You really can't expect people to pull 10k dps. My lock pulls 15k dps on Algaloth, but put me in heroics and I plumit to 8-12k dps, fight dependant. Too many variables to put a staple dps requirement.
as a healer, i agree with yoshimiko. also: i dont really care if you 100k dps - if you stand in fire to eke out that most possible dps, you get no heals from me, and dead players do 0 dps
If I did this I'd kick tons of people. Absolute tons of people.
But yeah, some people bias-kick based on class. Most people won't kick a bloodlust/magelust, but DPS warriors do nothing except DPS and interrupt (which you only need on...like two encounters, spanned across every heroic.)
I don't kick DPS for being bad. Especially not casters. Your general pug casters tend to just pull less DPS in heroics than melee, and it's always been that way.
